BCA Disability Empowerment Program Graduates 15 Bakti BCA’s Teman Tuli as MUA, Ready to Commence Professional Industry

Jakarta, 4 December 2025 - Coinciding with International Day of Persons with Disabilities, commemorated every 3 December, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) hosted the MUA Tuli Bakti BCA 2025 Graduation Day as the culmination of makeup training and coaching program for people with hearing disabilities (Teman Tuli). The event which was held at Tugu Kunstkring Paleis, Jakarta, on Wednesday (3/12) marked a new chapter for 15 MUA Tuli Bakti BCAas they prepare to step into the beauty industry as professional make up artists (MUAs).

Carrying the theme “From Equal Spaces Comes More Meaningful Impact (Dari Ruang yang Setara, Hadir Dampak yang Lebih Bermakna)”, the program, held under the Bakti BCA, aims to deliver tangible benefits to the community – particularly persons with disabilities – through education-based initiatives. It also expands opportunities for deaf participants to further develop their talents.

BCA Director Linawaty Suwono stated, “We are proud of the achievements of the 15 deaf participants who successfully completed the training and coaching sessions. From the beginning, the program was designed to create an inclusive space for persons with disabilities to unlock their full potential as professional MUAs. This is a true manifestation of #BuktiBaktiBCA’s commitment to support Indonesia's talent competitiveness.”

During the graduation event, 15 participants showcased their makeup skills in a fashion show featuring IKAT Indonesia’s collection by designer Didiet Maulana and accessories from Tulola. The event opened with an inspiring talk show featuring BCA Director Lianawaty Suwono, Creative Director of IKAT Indonesia & Entrepreneur Didiet Maulana, MUA Tuli Bakti BCA, and a makeup demo with Puteri Indonesia Kebudayaan 2025 Syafira Mardhiyah. Members of BCA Young Community (BYC) as well as BCA Solitaire and Prioritas young customers were also invited.

Prior to graduation, the participants underwent a series of training and workshops covering essential skillsets such as makeup, hairstyling, and nail art to prepare them for professional MUA careers. After completing the program, participants received certification from National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) and additional certificates from industry professionals, including hair stylist Anda Arussa, MUA Dean Sadudin, and others. They also received financial

management training from BCA staff and social media management coaching by makeup influencer Isabella Farradiva. These sessions equipped MUA Tuli Bakti BCA with foundational knowledge for running a sustainable MUA business in the future. The program was held in collaboration with Yayasan Perempuan Tangguh Indonesia (PTI).

The MUA Tuli Bakti BCA have also had the opportunity to contribute to various BCA and partner events since the program began, including Puteri Indonesia 2025, Gebyar BCA Merah Putih, BCA Expoversary, BCA Award, Indonesia Knowledge Forum, and Tulola’s Perayaan Kawan Nusantara “Identitas”.

BCA Director Lianawaty Suwono explained, “Equality is a principle we uphold not only in our operations but also in our social initiatives, which create space for every individual to grow without limitations. The MUA Tuli Bakti BCA Program shows how equal opportunities can open more doors for emerging talent to perform and be recognized.”

It is time to open more inclusive opportunities for the disability community because the best works emerge from diversity. We hope more talents with disabilities feel encouraged to create and demonstrate their abilities.”

Beyond disability empowerment, Bakti BCA continues to support education through various flagship programs, including Sekolah Bakti BCA, BCA Berbagi Ilmu, Bakti BCA Scholarship, Financial Literacy Education, Bakti BCA Internship Program, Banking Business Education

Program, and Informatics Engineering Education Program. BCA also runs “Genera-Z Berbaki”, which engages university students in community service through funding, mentoring, and support for academic publications.
