Medan, 2 December 2025 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA), through its Bakti BCA initiative, visited several locations affected by the disaster in North Sumatra on Monday (1/12) . During this visit, Bakti BCA provided humanitarian aid to victims of the disaster in Medan City and Langkat Regency. Both areas were affected by flooding.
In collaboration with the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), aid was delivered directly to the Refugee Command Post on Jalan Pancar, Lk8, Hamdan Village, Medan Maimun District, Medan City, as well as the Joint Command Post at Koramil 09, Kebun Lada, Hinai District, Langkat Regency. From this Joint Command Post, aid also reached flood victims in Tanjungpura District, Langkat Regency. The aid was handed over by EVP of Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility BCA Hera F. Haryn to TNI representatives and flood victims at each location.
In total, Bakti BCA distributed 550 boxes of mineral water, 70 boxes of instant noodles, 912 packs of biscuits, 4,200 tablets of medicine and multivitamins, and 100 bottles of eucalyptus oil.
“BCA through Bakti BCA, expresses its deep empathy and sorrow for the disasters that have occurred in several locations in Sumatra. We are also providing humanitarian aid, which we hope will be useful and help ease the burden currently being experienced by our brothers and sisters. We hope that conditions will soon recover and return to normal. BCA is committed to being present in the process of restoring the social and economic conditions of the affected communities,” said Hera F. Haryn.
Previously, Bakti BCA also collaborated with TNI to deliver humanitarian aid to disaster victims in several locations in Aceh and North Sumatra, including the Sibolga city. The aid was handed over at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Jakarta, on Friday (28/11), by EVP Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility BCA Hera F. Haryn to Colonel Jimmy Rihi Tugu (Paban V Bakti Ster TNI) and Lieutenant Colonel Heri Budiasto (Pabandia I Opster Ban V Ster TNI). The aid sent includes basic necessities such as food packages, mineral water, blankets, baby diapers, medicine, multivitamins, tents, and portable beds.
The collaboration between Bakti BCA and TNI was established to ensure that aid distribution could be carried out effectively and efficiently in the field. The TNI's extensive capabilities and network are vital in accelerating disaster response efforts in various locations.
