Jakarta, 25 August 2025 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) reaffirms its commitment to advancing education in Indonesia through the launch of the Bakti BCA Scholarship 2026. Officially commence from 25 August to 30 September 2025, this program is part of the ongoing #BuktiBaktiBCA initiative to enhance the quality and equity of higher education in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Quality Education.
BCA Director Antonius Widodo stated, “Under our Bakti BCA program, we recognize that education is not only a fundamental need but also a long-term investment for our nation’s future. That is why the Bakti BCA Scholarship is designed to go beyond financial support, offering holistic development opportunities that include self-improvement, knowledge enrichment, and practical experience relevant to the actual career environment. We hope that the scholarship grantees will not only be able to complete their studies but also be prepared to become future leaders who can make real contributions to the society at large.”
The Bakti BCA Scholarship is a flagship program under the Bakti Education pillar of the broader Bakti BCA sustainability initiative. Scholarship grantees will receive educational assistance, including living allowance and tuition support, as well as a series of one-year development programs. The program covers transformational training, national bootcamps, company visits, financial planning workshops, community empowerment activities, and other inspirational initiatives. These efforts are designed not only to benefit the “Bakti Champions”, the scholarship grantees, but also to create a wider positive impact on communities and society at large.
The selection process for the Bakti BCA Scholarship 2026 includes registration, administrative screening, assessments, and online interviews. The scholarship is open to undergraduate (S1) students currently in their third semester, unmarried, and under 21 years of age as of December 2025. Scholarship grantees will not be bound by a post-graduation employment obligation with BCA. Benefits will be disbursed during the students’ 4th and 5th semesters. One of the 2024 scholarship grantees, Josafat Pasaribu, shared his experience. “I am deeply grateful to be part of the Bakti BCA Scholarship program. It not only eased my financial burden but also broadened my perspective about the future. Through initiatives like bootcamps, company visits, and financial planning classes, I gained practical skills rarely found in the classroom. These experiences made me more confident and prepared to face the professional world while contributing positively to my community,” he explained.
In 2024, 700 students from 20 universities across Indonesia were selected as Bakti Champions through a rigorous selection process. Since its inception in 1999, the Bakti BCA Scholarship has benefited more than 8,500 undergraduate students across the country
Beyond the scholarship, BCA also runs several flagship education programs, including Sekolah Bakti BCA, BCA Berbagi Ilmu, Financial Literacy Education, Bakti BCA Internship Program, Banking Business Education Program, and Information Technology Education Program. BCA also supports the MUA Bakti BCA initiative, which empowers friends with disabilities (specifically the Deaf Community) to pursue careers as professional makeup artists. Most recently, Bakti BCA introduced the Genera-Z Berbakti program, which engages young people in developing Indonesia’s tourism villages by applying academic skills directly in the field. These programs represent BCA’s strong commitment to nurturing excellent human resources and advancing education in Indonesia.
