Bogor, 27 May 2025 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) held its flagship initiative BCA Berbagi Ilmu (BBI), as part of the Bakti BCA program. The event took the form of a public lecture at Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB University on Monday) (26/5). This edition of BCA Berbagi Ilmu featured the theme "Transformation is a Journey Without a Final Destination."
The fourth event of the BBI series at IPB University was attended by approximately 400 students. Previously, BBI events were held at Brawijaya University in Malang, the University of Indonesia in Depok, and Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta. Held at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Economics and Management at IPB, the public lecture was delivered by BCA Director John Kosasih and attended by members of the IPB University leadership as well as BCA management.
BCA Director John Kosasih stated, “The philosophy behind today’s theme, ‘Transformation is a Journey Without a Final Destination,’ reflects the idea that learning in life never truly ends. As individuals, we are constantly required to learn and adapt to change, especially in today’s fast-paced and disruptive era, the ability to stay relevant and continuously grow is essential for survival. As the younger generation, students must embrace a spirit of exploration and remain open to learning new things.”
In this edition of BCA Berbagi Ilmu, students were also encouraged to understand the importance of flexibility, creativity, and a spirit of collaboration as key factors for achieving success. This aligns with BCA’s own commitment to continuous learning, adaptation, and innovation to provide the best financial solutions for its customers.
“At BCA, we believe that a continuous desire to learn and the ability to adapt are crucial to the company’s success. Operating in the banking industry, we are required to constantly acquire new knowledge in order to meet the evolving needs of our customers. One example of this is BCA’s digital transformation through the development of various digital banking services, such as myBCA and BCA mobile, which enable customers to transact more quickly, securely, and efficiently. These initiatives reflect BCA’s commitment to continuous learning and innovation in order to remain relevant and deliver added value amidst ongoing change,” said John Kosasih.
Furthermore, in order to face the era of disruption and realize the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045, it is crucial to encourage students to continuously develop themselves, both academically and in terms of hard skills and soft skills. Through collaboration with educational institutions, BCA Berbagi Ilmu contributes to the development of Indonesia’s young generation.
Throughout 2024, the BCA Berbagi Ilmu public lecture series was held at 10 universities across Indonesia, with participation from over 6,900 students. In addition to the public lectures, the program also featured the Student Banking Tour, which invited hundreds of high school students and their equivalents to visit BCA branch offices nationwide. Through this activity, students gained firsthand experience of the banking world and the financial industry.
“The BCA Berbagi Ilmu program is driven by the belief that the younger generation is a vital actor and future leader of the nation. Therefore, it is important for us to prepare them to be good leaders both for themselves and society. Through Bakti BCA, we are committed to creating a positive impact across all levels of society, starting from individuals, and communities, to the broader ecosystem,” added EVP of Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility BCA Hera F. Haryn.
