Semarang, 24 May 2025 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) has officially partnered with Diponegoro University (UNDIP) to enable tuition payments through the myBCA application. This partnership underscores BCA’s commitment to advancing financial inclusion and accelerating digital transformation in Indonesia’s education sector.
The official launch of the collaboration between BCA and UNDIP was held on Friday (23/5). The event was attended by BCA Director Antonius Widodo Mulyono, UNDIP Rector Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., three UNDIP Vice Rectors, BCA Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility EVP Hera F. Haryn, BCA Regional Office II Head Widjaja Stephen, BCA Semarang Main Branch Office Head Hendrik Satya Nugraha, along with BCA’s management team and the UNDIP academic community.
BCA Director Antonius Widodo Mulyono expressed, “Financial inclusion and digital transformation are essential drivers of national progress. Through this collaboration with UNDIP, we aim to simplify tuition payments, such as the tuition fee (UKT), while integrating students into the digital financial ecosystem. This initiative reflects our commitment to advancing financial inclusion across various sectors.”
The tuition payment feature via myBCA has been available since May 7, 2025. To access this service, UNDIP students simply log in to myBCA and navigate to the “Pay & Top Up” menu. From there, they can select the “Education” feature and choose their university. Students then select a source of funds and enter their Student Identification Number (NIM) or participant number. Once all details are confirmed, the payment can be processed. Beyond simplifying student tuition payments, this feature also allows UNDIP to efficiently monitor, manage, and report tuition funds through an integrated system.
In addition to collaborating in financial services, BCA, through Bakti BCA, and UNDIP have partnered to provide solar panel charging stations. These Bakti BCA solar panel charging stations are equipped with solar panels and batteries with a capacity of 550 Watt Peak (WP). This capacity allows the charging stations to recharge gadgets with a 5,000 mAh battery up to 110 times per battery cycle. This facility is designed to support various student activities amid the widespread use of technology and gadgets. Its presence is expected to strengthen an inclusive and sustainable digital ecosystem at UNDIP.
“We believe that our collaboration with BCA will have a positive impact on improving educational support facilities at UNDIP. With easier tuition payments through myBCA, both parents and students can conduct transactions more conveniently and quickly. Furthermore, the presence of Bakti BCA’s solar panel charging stations contributes to a more comfortable and efficient teaching and learning environment, in line with our shared vision of providing quality education prepared to face the challenges of the digital era,” said UNDIP Rector Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si.
BCA, under the Bakti BCA, has long been committed to supporting education through various programs and activities. Through its Bakti Pendidikan (Education) pillar, BCA has launched several initiatives, including Bakti BCA-assisted School (Sekolah Bakti BCA), BCA Berbagi Ilmu, Disability Empowerment, Financial Literacy Education, Bakti BCA Scholarship (Beasiswa Bakti BCA), and the Capital Market School. Recently, BCA introduced the “Genera-Z Berbakti” program, which provides a platform for youth to apply their academic knowledge and skills in rural areas. Four selected groups will receive funding and mentoring from Bakti BCA for one month to support the implementation of their programs.
“BCA recognizes that the banking sector plays a crucial role in improving the quality of education in Indonesia by providing reliable financial services and ensuring affordable access to the best educational opportunities for all levels of society. Through the tuition payment system via myBCA and the solar panel charging stations, we hope to support UNDIP in fulfilling its role of developing quality human resources and driving innovations that strengthen academic progress in Semarang,” concluded Antonius Widodo.
