In recognition of this achievement, the Indonesian Embassy in Sri Lanka invited the BCA teams to an appreciation event to honor their innovations and accomplishments.
BCA e-Channel & Settlement Services EVP Reni Septiana stated, “BCA is immensely proud of the awards and victories achieved by our four teams in Sri Lanka. This is a testament to BCA’s commitment to innovation in delivering the best services to our customers. The dedication of BCA’s teams is reflected in the success of four of our innovations: the implementation of Payment Status Request (PSR), Auto-Reverse, One Stop Reconciliation App (OSRA), and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to support BI-FAST; Smart OCR Robotic to enhance collective transfer processes at branches; Transformation process to address abnormal transactions for cash withdrawals, deposits, and VA One Klik; and the development of a cash management system in the Incash app utilizing machine learning to ensure optimal cash availability at BCA’s CRM machines.”
Three systems supporting BI-FAST were developed to enhance transaction quality and streamline reconciliation processes. Additionally, Smart OCR Robotic was introduced to expedite and improve the accuracy of collective transfer operations at branches.
The transformation process innovation was developed to address technical challenges in abnormal cash withdrawal, deposit, and VA One Klik transactions, offering accurate and swift resolutions. Lastly, AI and machine learning technologies were employed to optimize cash availability at cash deposit and withdrawal machines (CRM), ensuring efficient cash management.
The 2024 ICQCC organized by the Sri Lanka Association for Advancement of Quality & Productivity (SLAAQP). Carrying the theme Beyond Boundaries: A Quest for Quality, Productivity & Innovation, this event served as a platform for sharing ideas and innovations in quality and productivity enhancement technologies.
In addition to this achievement, BCA also secured the Top 3 Global Future Workforce award at the Qorus-Infosys Finacle Banking Innovation Award 2024 in Portugal last October. The innovation showcased in this event was the Android-based EDC machine (APOS) production enhancement through the implementation of RIA (Robot Inject APOS). Future developments include automating Flazz card reloads through the TOPAZ (Top Up Flazz Machine) and the Universal UPS Monitoring system, which provides real-time UPS condition updates.
“These innovations are designed to address increasing and complex operational demands. They are essential for enhancing service quality for our customers. The various competitions we participate in aim to refine and test our ideas, both domestically and internationally. Looking forward, we are committed to delivering sustainable positive impacts. BCA’s teams achievement in Sri Lanka is not an endpoint but instead will motivate BCA employees toto continue learning, exploring, and inspiring,” Reni concluded.
