Jakarta, 8 November 2024 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) will host the first-ever "Runvestasi" competition from 8 to 22 December 2024.. Under the theme "Wealth-Life Balance," this event introduces an innovative concept that combines a fitness competition with financial investment. Through this initiative, BCA aims to enhance the quality of life for the community while also promoting financial literacy and inclusion in Indonesia.
The launch of Runvestasi program was marked by a press conference attended by BCA Director Haryanto T. Budiman, BCA EVP of Wealth Management Indrawan B., and Ditto Percussion, an Ironman Triathlon Finisher.
BCA Director Haryanto T. Budiman explained, “BCA has a responsibility to raise public awareness about financial planning. Through Runvestasi, which is also supported by our partner investment managers, we offer financial planning education in a way that aligns with today's lifestyle—through exercise. We hope this event provides people with the insight that a healthy lifestyle and financial planning require time, discipline, and effort to achieve.”
At this event, there were 2,500 prizes for participants who managed to collect the most points and 900 prizes for lucky finishers. These prizes included the chance to win Travel Vouchers worth Rp25 million, iPhone 15 Pro 256 GB, Garmin EPIX PRO G2 42mm smartwatch, and more.
Registration for Runvestasi 2024 opened on 11 October and will remain available until December 10, with the competition period set for 8 to 22 December 2024.,. - Running, jogging, and walking
- Investment challenges through the Welma feature in the myBCA app
- Social media challenges
Participants earn 5 points for every 1 km of outdoor running or walking completed, or 100 points for completing a 10 km distance. Points for virtual races are cumulative.
Participants can earn points by completing challenges related to financial activities, such as verifying their myBCA account or performing investment transactions.
Participants can add more points by engaging in social media challenges, such as posting on Instagram Reels.

Ironman Triathlon Finisher Ditto Percussion said, “For runners, maintaining a healthy lifestyle is essential as a foundation for a successful future.. It requires discipline, effort, persistence, and grit. I believe the same principles apply to maintaining financial health and achieving financial freedom through investment. Investing also requires consistency, discipline, and grit.”
To enhance the event, BCA collaborated with local running communities to host a series of "Road to" events in three major Indonesian cities: Makassar on 13 October, Bandung on 3 November, and Semarang on 17 November 2024. Additionally, BCA will hold a “Flag Off” event at Menara BCA in Jakarta on 8 December 2024. The event will feature a 5K fun walk with Joe Taslim, Zumba with Denada, as well as investment consultations and promotions.
BCA EVP of Wealth Management, Indrawan B., added, “Like sports, investing requires discipline and persistence. Through Runvestasi, we aim to provide a space where people can achieve a balance of physical and financial health, supporting the creation of a more prosperous and sustainable life. We also hope that this initiative will make a meaningful contribution to OJK's GENCARKAN program, which promotes broad and comprehensive financial literacy and inclusion across Indonesia.”
