Yogyakarta, 10 September 2024 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) has officially collaborated with Queen Latifa General Hospital (RSU), Special Region of Yogyakarta. The partnership between BCA and RSU Queen Latifa was formalized during the opening ceremony of the hospital's new building on Tuesday (10/9). At the same time, BCA handed over an ambulance to RSU Queen Latifa as part of the bank’s commitment to supporting the improvement of public health services.
The ceremony was attended by BCA Director John Kosasih, Head of BCA Region II Widjaja Stephen, PT. Queen Latifa Husada Jaya Commissioner Siti Purwanti, S.SiT, MM, PT. Queen Latifa Husada Jaya Director Syaifudin, M.Kes, RSU Queen Latifa Board of Directors Dr. drg. Edy Sumarwanto, M.Hum, and RSU Queen Latifa Director Dr. dr. Dani Sahirul Alim, MMR, MPN. The ambulance donation was given by BCA in the event of the bank’s cooperation with RSU Queen Latifa.
BCA Director John Kosasih stated, “BCA acknowledges that ambulances are a crucial aspect of healthcare services. We have donated an ambulance as a reflection of BCA's commitment to fostering high-quality healthcare facilities and services. We are also pleased to celebrate the opening of the hospital's new building. We hope this donation will enhance the hospital's facilities, allowing more people and patients to access healthcare services.”
BCA provided an ambulance to RSU Queen Latifa in response to the hospital's need for the facility. This donation increases the number of ambulances at RSU Queen Latifa to two ambulances.
BCA has a long track record of supporting public health services. Beyond supporting health facilities and equipment through Bakti BCA, the bank is dedicated to elevating public health standards. This includes educational initiatives and stunting prevention programs conducted in collaboration with BKKBN and other partners as part of the PASTI (Partnership to Accelerate Stunting Reduction in Indonesia) program.
Through its two Bakti BCA-assisted clinics, Praktik Dokter Duri Utara in Tambora, West Jakarta, and Klinik Bakti Medika in Mangga Dua Selatan, Central Jakarta, BCA also provides general health services, medical fee subsidies, family planning and other health checks. Since 2014, over 150,000 patients have benefited from fee waivers for medical treatment and family planning at these clinics.
Furthermore, BCA has facilitated the collection of 13,228 blood bags and 18 plasma donations through its blood and plasma donation activities. Since 2001, in collaboration with SPBK Perdami, BCA has organized free cataract surgeries across over 90 locations in 24 provinces, restoring vision for more than 8,500 patients.
