Jakarta, 10 September 2024 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) has launched the Bakti BCA Scholarship (Beasiswa Bakti BCA) program for the 2025 period. Registration for the Bakti BCA Scholarship 2025, which is open from 9 September to 31 October 2024, marks the ongoing commitment of #BuktiBaktiBCA to improve the quality and equity of higher education in Indonesia, which is one of the priority goals of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the area of Quality Education.
Carrying the theme "Every Champion is Unique. The Champion is You!", the Bakti BCA Scholarship targets outstanding Indonesian students who are passionate about contributing to the country and are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree (S1). Similar to previous years, registration can only be done online and is free of charge. The results of the selection process will be announced on 20 December 2024.
BCA Director Antonius Widodo stated, "Through Bakti BCA, the company understands that education is a fundamental need for everyone. However, not all families have access to higher education. The Bakti BCA Scholarship is here to help students reach their highest potential so they can contribute to building a better future for Indonesia."
Bakti BCA Scholarship is one of the flagship programs under Bakti Pendidikan, a pillar of Bakti BCA. Recipients of Bakti BCA Scholarship 2025 will receive benefits such as educational funding (including allowance and tuition assistance) and a one-year personal development program. Scholarship recipients will participate in a transformational program, national bootcamp, company visits, financial planning, and various other engaging activities. This training program is expected to be beneficial not only for the scholar recipients but also for their communities, society, and the environment. Additionally, this program aims to shape the ‘Bakti Champions’, the recipients of the Bakti BCA Scholarship, into a #GenerasiPastiBisa.
Bakti BCA Scholarship 2025 implementation consists of several stages. After registration, there will be an administrative selection, assessment, and online interview. Students who can apply for the Bakti BCA Scholarship are a maximum of 22 years old, unmarried, enrolled in a university, and in the third semester of a Bachelor's degree program. Additionally, there is no obligation for scholarship recipients to work for BCA. The scholarship benefits will be received by the recipients in the fourth and fifth semesters of their studies. Last year, 700 students from 20 universities were selected as Bakti Champions after undergoing strict and quite extensive selection processes. Over 7,500 undergraduate students have received the Bakti BCA Scholarship since the program was launched in 1999.
Apart from providing scholarships, BCA also has other flagship programs in the education field, such as Sekolah Bakti BCA, BCA Berbagi Ilmu, Financial Literacy Education, Bakti BCA Internship Program, Banking Business Education Program, and Information Technology Education Program. Recently, Bakti BCA organized "The Beauty of Disabilities: Make Up Class with BCA," a program to empower people with disabilities (Deaf Friends), who aspire to become professional makeup artists. These programs are a tangible manifestation of BCA's commitment to continually contributing to the development of excellent human resources and supporting educational development in Indonesia.
