Jakarta, 26 August 2024 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) receives the Satu Rekening Satu Pelajar (KEJAR) Award from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) in the category of best implementation for Conventional Commercial Banks. The award was received directly by BCA Director Antonius Widodo during the launch of the National Financial Literacy Movement (GENCARKAN) on Thursday (8/22). On the same occasion, BCA was also a finalist for the KEJAR Award in the category of Best Bank Achievement of Kejar in the celebration of Indonesia's Savings Day. GENCARKAN is a program initiated by OJK aimed at promoting widespread and equitable financial literacy and inclusion across Indonesia. This activity is also carried out to commemorate the momentum of Indonesia's Day of Saving, which falls every year on August 20.
BCA Director Antonius Widodo said, "We are very grateful for the award given to BCA. This award underlines BCA's commitment in supporting financial literacy growth all over Indonesia and the implementation of the GENCARKAN program initiated by OJK. We hope that BCA's contribution to this activity could support the literacy index and financial literacy achievement based on OJK’s target, as well as prepare society for the peak of the demographic dividend."
In supporting GENCARKAN, BCA consistently runs financial literacy education programs nationwide by involving BCA employees and branch offices all over Indonesia. Throughout the first semester of 2024, BCA has conducted financial literacy education programs that was attended by more than 65,000 participants. The program targets students, university students, the general public, as well as various other priority segments. In line with BCA's values, consistency and innovation are important foundations of the program. In giving education, the program under the Bakti BCA Education pillar uses various interesting methods so that participants can easily understand and practice the materials provided, such as through offline and online teaching, comic books and gamification of materials for students, videos, and e-learning.
Under the umbrella of "Bakti BCA", the company is committed to continuously provide benefits on an individual, community and ecosystem level. BCA believes that empowered individuals can empower their communities, and empowered communities can positively contribute to the preservation of the ecosystem, thus creating a cycle of mutual influence and connection. - BCA Berbagi Ilmu: presented in the form of a series of public lectures and student banking tours for students and university students, as well as
- Disability Empowerment, which in 2024 will produce 10 professional make-up artists (MUA) through "The Beauty of Disabilities: Makeup Class with BCA" program.
