Spread the Chance to Win iPhone 15, BCA Inspires People to Contribute to Indonesia through the #BuktiBaktiku Competition

Jakarta, 15 August 2024 - As part of the effort to create a broader impact across the nation, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) is organizing a competition titled “#BuktiBaktiku,” inviting the public to participate and contribute to inspiring the spirit of giving back to Indonesia. It provides a platform for people to share their stories and spread positive impact through social media posts. The #BuktiBaktiku competition runs from August 15 to September 15, 2024.

BCA Corporate Communications & Social Responsibility EVP Hera F. Haryn expressed, “For BCA, being a national bank is not just about offering top-notch banking solutions; it’s also about making a meaningful impact on individuals, communities, and the environment, as we have done through the ‘Bakti BCA’ program. However, creating a truly holistic impact requires collective effort from multiple stakeholders. With this in mind, Bakti BCA launched the #BuktiBaktiku competition, as we believe that everyone has the power to demonstrate their own acts of devotion (bukti bakti). Even a small act of devotion, over time, can become a lasting contribution that will have an enduring impact.”

The #BuktiBaktiku competition is a digital initiative launched by BCA under the ‘Bakti BCA’ program, encouraging the public to share inspiring stories through photos or videos about their social contributions to their communities. Participants can select themes based on the 5 pillars of Bakti BCA's sustainability efforts: education, health, culture, the environment, and support for village tourism, SMEs, or local communities.

The three top winners of the #BuktiBaktiku competition will each receive an iPhone 15. A panel of judges will evaluate submissions based on content creativity, storytelling, and the social impact of the activities. Additionally, BCA will honor 20 favorite participants, determined by the highest number of likes. Selected winners will be announced by Nicholas Saputra, as the BCA Bakti Ambassador, via Instagram Live on BCA’s official account.

The #BuktiBaktiBCA journey in making a positive impact on people’s lives is realized through various flagship programs under Bakti BCA. In the education pillar (Bakti Pendidikan), BCA strives to enhance the competitiveness of Indonesia’s human resources through initiatives such as the Bakti BCA Scholarship for undergraduate students, Bakti BCA Schools, BCA Berbagi Ilmu, Disability Empowerment, and Financial Literacy Education. In the health pillar (Bakti Kesehatan), BCA contributes to improving people’s quality of life by partnering with BKKBN and USAID in the PASTI program (Partnership to Accelerate Stunting Reduction in Indonesia), which focuses on accelerating stunting reduction. BCA is also involved in cataract surgery programs and blood donation activities with PMI.

BCA’s commitment to the cultural pillar (Bakti Budaya) is demonstrated through various initiatives such as Wayang for Students, the Nusantara Academic Writing Award (NAWA), Satu dalam Cita ‘Sudamala’, and the Gebyar BCA Merah Putih event taking place this August. In the community empowerment pillar (Desa Bakti BCA), BCA has introduced specialized services and programs to enhance human resource potential across different villages, including developing tourism villages, providing halal certification support, and offering export education for SMEs. Furthermore, BCA actively contributes to environmental conservation through the environmental pillar (Bakti Lingkungan) with initiatives such as orangutan rehabilitation and release, turtle conservation, leopard protection, and tree planting.
