Kantar Named BCA as Southeast Asia’s Most Valuable Brand for 2024

Jakarta, 3 August 2024 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) has achieved another international milestone. Most recently, BCA managed to maintain its top position in the Kantar BrandZ Top 30 Most Valuable Southeast Asian Brands 2024 list. This award reaffirms BCA as the most valuable brand in Southeast Asia. Additionally, BCA also won an award in the "Most Meaningfully Different Brand in Indonesia" category.

The award was received by BCA Vice President Director Armand W. Hartono on Friday (26/7) at The Ritz-Carlton Singapore. Kantar BrandZ is a brand valuation that combines financial analysis with brand equity measures. The study is conducted by Kantar, the world's leading brand consulting and marketing data analysis company. The Kantar BrandZ Top 30 Most Valuable Southeast Asian Brands 2024 is based on the opinions of more than 98,000 respondents, 1,800 brands, and 70 categories, covering Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

According to the Kantar BrandZ report, BCA's brand valuation reached US$28.3 billion (around Rp460 trillion), an increase of 21% in just one year. "BCA's achievements cannot be separated from its efforts to effectively activate strong relationships with consumers while strengthening product and service differentiation. BCA continues to grow its customer base by expanding digital banking services and developing new features and benefits," Kantar Southeast Asia Managing Director Katie McClintock wrote on Kantar's official website.

To deliver quality services tailored to a diverse customer segment and their needs, BCA consistently invests in enhancing its hybrid banking ecosystem, from mobile and internet banking channels, point of sales, branch offices, ATMs, to contact centers. In the first half of 2024, BCA's total transaction frequency increased by 21% year-on-year (YoY), reaching 17 billion transactions—a fourfold growth over the past five years. In its digital channels, BCA's mobile and internet banking transactions reached 14.8 billion, up by 24% YoY.

In addition to continuously refining the features of the BCA mobile application and internet banking (KlikBCA), BCA also offers other cutting-edge innovations, such as the myBCA application, designed to be the integrated service application of the future. BCA is dedicated to simplifying transactions, investments, and cash flow management for its customers. To this end, the myBCA application features biometric security, QRIS transfers, seamless investing through the Welma feature, the ability to convert credit card transactions into BCA installments, and BCA Paylater.

The latest update to myBCA includes the Poket Valas feature, which allows users to hold funds in multiple foreign currencies within a single account. Available currencies include USD, JPY, SGD, CNY, AUD, EUR, GBP, and HKD. This feature enables customers to perform forex transactions anytime and anywhere, and to conduct debit and cash withdrawal transactions in foreign currencies without the need for conversion to rupiah.
