Surakarta, 12 October 2023 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) donates 2 units of buggy cars to Tentara Slamet Riyadi Surakarta Hospital. This initiative is part of the corporate commitment to support the development of quality healthcare facilities for the patients at the hospital.
BCA President Director, Jahja Setiaatmadja, hands over the buggy cars to the Director of Tentara Slamet Riyadi Surakarta Hospital, Lieutenant Colonel of the Medical Corps, Dr. Ardianto Pramono, Sp.Rad(K) RI. on Thursday (12/10). The ceremony was also attended by Lieutenant General (Ret.), Prof. Dr. Terawan Agus Putranto Sp.Rad(K) RI., BCA EVP of Corporate Communication and Social Responsibility, Hera F Haryn, and BCA Head of Branch Office in Slamet Riyadi, Anggolo Pryadiy.
BCA President Director Jahja Setiaatmadja stated, “BCA is fully aware of the significance of convenience in delivering high-quality healthcare services. As a result, we are donating 2 units of buggy cars to Tentara Slamet Riyadi Surakarta Hospital as part of BCA's Bakti Kesehatan initiatives. This contribution is aimed at improving healthcare support facilities, with a special focus on the patients at this hospital. Our intention is to enable Tentara Slamet Riyadi Surakarta Hospital to offer exceptional services, particularly to the people of Surakarta and its neighboring areas.”
The buggy car will serve as patient transportation, facilitating the movement of patients from the parking area to both the outpatient and inpatient buildings. This is primarily because the substantial size of Tentara Slamet Riyadi Hospital’s parking lot, making the use of buggy cars a highly effective and efficient solution. Each unit of the buggy car is capable of accommodating a minimum of 3 to 5 patients.

Under the Bakti BCA program, BCA has been extending vital support to hospitals and healthcare organizations by providing a range of healthcare facilities and infrastructure. These contributions, including ambulances, LED Operating Lamp Dual Head, Anesthesia 2 Vaporizer Infinium, ICU BED with Mattress, Ventilator, and Bedside Monitor, have been distributed to institutions such as SPBK Perdami and Palang Merah Indonesia. Furthermore, BCA is actively involved in ongoing social service initiatives, which encompass free cataract surgeries, blood donations, and health check-ups. Additionally, in collaboration with BKKBN and USAID, BCA is steadfast in its commitment to addressing stunting in Indonesia by pledging a substantial donation of US$1,000,000 for this program over the next four years.
