Jakarta, July 14 2023 - After being titled as The Top Most Valuable Brands in Indonesia for four consecutive years, PT Bank Central Asia (BCA) is now ranked as number one on the list of Top 30 Most Valuable Southeast Asian Brands 2023, released by Kantar BrandZ. This award crowns BCA as one of the Indonesian companies with the strongest international brand presence.

In addition to being ranked as number one in Southeast Asia, BCA solidifies its position as one of the leading global brands in the recently released Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands by Kantar BrandZ this year. In that list, the BCA brand is estimated to be worth $22,684 billion, placing the company at the 74th position in the world, alongside renowned brands from various industries. Within the financial industry alone, BCA ranks 12th. Furthermore, in terms of growth of the brand value, BBCA stands among the elite with a growth rate of 12%

As part of the Top 30 Most Valuable Southeast Asian Brands, BCA is recognized as one of the brands that consistently delivers excellent services through various initiatives, such as technological innovations. According to Kantar BrandZ, BCA’s technological innovations led to the boost of the brand value amidst a challenging pandemic period and have contributed to maintaining rapid growth and stability of the brand.

Kantar BrandZ Most Valuable Brands is a brand valuation that combines financial analysis with a broad measure of brand equity. Powered by BrandZ, the brand equity database managed by Millward Brown, Kantar BrandZ provides recognition for renowned brands in Southeast Asia for the first time.

Previously, BCA successfully held the position of the Top Most Valuable Brand in Indonesia for four consecutive years, from 2015 until 2018. BCA has also successfully maintained its 99th position in BrandZ’s Global Top 100 in the year 2018, 2019, and 2023, making it the only Indonesian brand in the Global Top 100 list. 

Attending the inaugural launch event of the Top 30 Most Valuable Southeast Asian Brands, BCA's Vice President Director, Armand W. Hartono, stated that customers are at the core of all activities conducted by BCA. “We are committed to providing services that align with the needs of our BCA customers. One of our initiatives is to undergo a massive digital transformation to cater to the various banking needs of BCA customers across Indonesia”.

Currently, BCA has implemented a few digital innovations that are user-friendly, such as mobile banking, cardless cash withdrawals, online bank account opening, and e-wallet services.

The award was received by BCA’S Vice President Director Armand W. Hartono, on Wednesday (12/7). Kantar BrandZ estimated the brand value of BCA to be approximately 22.684 billion US dollars, placing BCA at the 74th position in the Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands.
