Jakarta, 19 December 2016 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) together with several financial institutions including Bank Mandiri, BRI, Maybank, PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (SMI) and Indonesia Eximbank provide a loan of Rp 12 trillion for a period of 10 years to PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara ("PLN") in order to support the State-Owned Electric company commitment to ensure electricity supply for the community.
The signing of the loan agreement was made by President Director of PLN Sofyan Basir, Director of Finance Sarwono Sudarto, Director of BCA Rudy Susanto in Jakarta, Monday (19/12). The management of participant banks participated in the signing of the syndicated loan. Funds obtained from these syndicated loan will be used to finance the investment in several sector such as of power generation, transmission, distribution, and Facilities in Indonesia.
"BCA sees the enormous benefit of the funding commitment provided to PLN today, which supports PLN in providing electricity to industries and communities. In turn, the derivative impact of this funding commitment is the growth of the economy thus giving a double effect to all economic actors, including banking, "Rudy said.
Rudy asserted, BCA is always open to collaborate with various parties, especially those that have a positive impact on society.The cooperation is in line with BCA's commitment to continually innovate in fulfilling the various funding needs in the midst of increasingly diverse and spectacular economic activities of the community. Until now, BCA's commitment to infrastructure sector is around Rp 27.4 trillion.
