BCA Encourages Customers to Give E-Hongbao to Celebrate Lunar New Year

Jakarta, January 31, 2022 – The Lunar New Year is one of the most anticipated holidays for most Indonesians. In celebration of the Lunar New Year, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) as part of the national bank industry is committed to providing excellent digital banking services to its loyal customers. This holiday, the bank encourages customers to send electronic hongbao (e-hongbao) to share good luck and blessings with family and friends via BCA Mobile’s Bagibagi, ensuring their satisfaction.

BagiBagi is the latest feature that allows customers to conveniently send or receive e-hongbao amidst the new normal. BagiBagi facilitates a safer hongbao giving tradition amidst people's growing consciousness towards social distancing as they no longer need physical cash. The feature allows users to send e-hongbao with a fixed or randomized amount of funds. To make the tradition more exciting, the feature also gives users a variety of attractive greeting cards they can send with the e-hongbao. 

"Amidst the pandemic and the digital era, we are encouraging customers to adapt and celebrate the Lunar New Year in a new way without removing the tradition of hongbao giving. With our commitment to being always by your side, BCA understands people's growing need for digital and cashless payments. As such, we are enabling BCA Mobile's Bagibagi feature that allows customers to conveniently send e-hongbao to their beloved friends and relatives," said BCA Director Santoso. 

To start using BagiBagi, you need to install the latest update of BCA Mobile. Open the app → tap m-BCA → tap Bagibagi → choose a Greeting Card → set the amount of funds to "Fixed" or "Randomized" → if set to "Fixed," specify the amount of funds for the hongbao → if set to "Randomized," input the minimum and maximum range of funds for the hongbao → select your bank account for the transfer → input the recipient's bank account number → tap "Send" → enter your m-BCA PIN → and finally, tap the "Yuk, Bagikan" button.

After sending the hongbao, the recipient will receive a link directing them to their Sakuku account. As such, they must install the latest update of the Sakuku app to cash in their hongbao and receive the greeting card.
