Jakarta, July 28, 2016 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) achieved another accomplishment in the international financial industry in July. BCA received Forbes Global 2000 Awards, presented directly to BCA Deputy President Director Eugene Keith Galbraith at the Recognition Dinner Forbes Global 2000 Awards in Bali Room, Hotel Indonesia Kempinski, Jakarta (28/7).
“This is the fifth time BCA in included in list of 2,000 biggest public companies in the world according to Forbes magazine. BCA became one of six Indonesian companies to enter the list. BCA ranked higher compared to last year, from 630 in 2015 to 620 in 2016,” Eugene explained.
Forbes ranked 2,000 biggest public companies from 63 countries, selected based on fufillment of four criteria: sales, profit, asset, and market value. ”In a challenging year, BCA has achieved positive peformance through prudent loan disbursement and active management of third party funds. In the first semester of 2016, BCA recorded a net profit increase of 12.1% to Rp 9.6 trillion, compared to Rp 8.5 trillion in the same period last year,” Eugene continued.
To maintain a positive performance, BCA will continue to apply prudent principles in managing business and utilizing various business opportunities for future growth. BCA will also continue to invest to strengthen financial transaction capabilities and loan infrastructure, in line with Indonesian financial industry’s long-term prospects. “Human resources development, organizational synchronization, as well as increasing operational efficiency, are important factors to further strengthen BCA’s position as a prominent bank in Indonesia,” Eugene concluded.

Two thousand public companies ranked by Forbes have fulfilled the following criteria: sales, profit, asset, and market value. BCA achieved a positive performance with a recorded 12.1% profit increase to Rp 9.6 trillion compared with Rp 8.5 trillion in the same period last year.
