Jakarta, July 13, 2016 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) displayed its support for sports development in Indonesia. This time, BCA is sponsoring Royale Open Tournament 2016 on July 20 2016. The event is part of BCA Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Synergy Solution pillar, promoting not only sports, but also providing aid to Habitat for Humanity Indonesia through the construction and improved access of housing areas.
BCA - Royale Open Tournament 2016 press conference was held at Royale Jakarta Golf Club on Wednesday, July 13, 2016. BCA President Director Jahja Setiaatmadja, Royale Jakarta Golf Club Chief Operating Officer George Chandra, and National Director of Habitat for Humanity Indonesia James Tumbuan attended the event.

In addition to sports promotion, BCA also focuses its attention to charity programs each year. This year, BCA collaborated with Habitat for Humanity Indonesia, part of the global social organization Habitat for Humanity International, whose mission is to recruit and encourage volunteers to build houses and improve living conditions. Since its establishment in 1976, Habitat International has helped more than 6.8 million people globally through construction of homes, and improvement of housing access through special programs.
In addition to donation to Habitat for Humanity Indonesia, BCA - Royale Open Tournament 2016 also supports government efforts in promoting tourism industry and preservation of national culture. This year, BCA - Royale Open Tournament 2016 selected a Balinese theme, which is rich with incredible cultures. "Indonesia’s rich nature and culture offer strong potentials to transform into an incredible tourism destination. The event this year will highlight Bali, the Indonesian tourism magnet. BCA - Royale Open Tournament 2016 has also prepared a trophy to highlight this rich quality, a Balinese Man specially designed by artist Kramik F. Widayanto,” Jahja further explained.
BCA - Royale Open Tournament 2016 began as an annual golf tournament hosted by its founders, which has then evolved into an awaited grand golf tournament. “The total number of participants is expected to reach 240. We hope BCA Royale Open Tournament 2016 may satisfy golf enthusiasts and actively involve people in charity work to develop houses for people in need," George concluded.
