Jakarta, January 13th 2016 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) embraced young entrepreneurs who have successfully navigated their careers in their respective industries to share their knowledge and experience to younger generations. The move is part of an effort to inspire a new generation of young entrepreneurs, to give added value and benefits to its communities and the general public.
At the Kafe BCA talkshow entitled “Potential and Challenges of Younger Generation as Entrepreneurs” in Jakarta on Wednesday (13/1), BCA invited several successful young entrepreneurs with creative ideas to inspire the younger generation to give back to their communities. Among those invited was Yasa Paramita Singgih whose personal development inspired the younger generation through his Men’s Republik fashion line he developed at the young age of 15, and Elihu Nugroho whose service excellence offered waterless car wash alternative in support of saving water energy.
Another invited key speakers were The Wahid Institute Director Yenni Wahid whose understanding of the value of young generation added to the knowledge and served as the next legacy of national leadership, and Yudan Hermawan who successfully transformed Goa Pindul into a tourist destination in collaboration with Bakti BCA. Also in attendance was BCA President Director Jahja Setiaatmadja and BCA Corporate Secretary Inge Setiawati who opened the event.
Jahja stated that the young generation plays an important part in the development of opportunities, and in the creation of the next generation of leaders. One of the ways BCA strive to inspire the younger generation to create their own independent paths is through entrepreneurship in various sectors. The potential for the younger generation to establish their own businesses is greater, because they rely on the power of creativity and innovation that tends to parallel current trends.
“We have been witnessing the shift among the younger generation towards entrepreneurship. Through this Kafe BCA forum, we hope to fan the fire behind this spirit and encourage young entrepreneurs to share their entrepreneurial knowledge and experience with each other, as well as inspire a new group of young entrepreneurs,” remarked Jahja.
Jahja added that the growing trend of young entrepreneurs, such as in the service excellence, personal development, and improving life sectors is a sign of positive optimism for the future. Nowadays, young entrepreneurs are not only profit-oriented, but also seriously focusing on pursuing their passion to add value and benefits to their communities (socialpreneur).
”We may have already enjoyed the benefits and help from this new vision amongst the younger generation of entrepreneurs. We feel that this social orientation is now inseparable from this vision. BCA will also commit to provide this added value and benefits to the people through the promotion of service excellence, personal development, and improving life aspects,” he concluded.
