BCA Receives Economic Challenges Awards 2017

Jakarta, 21 November 2017 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) was once again recognized, thanks to its proficiency in managing solid financial performance amidst Indonesia’s moderate economic growth. This time, BCA received the Economic Challenges Awards 2017 for the Bank Category, awarded as a form of appreciation to companies that able to grow in a constantly changing environment. 

Director of BCA Erwan Yuris Ang received the Economic Challenges Awards 2017 for the Bank Category, which was submitted by Deputy of Macro Economy and Financial Coordination of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Iskandar Simorangkir in Jakarta, Tuesday (21/11). Also attending the event were Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia Ignasius Jonan, Minister of Transportation of the  Republic of Indonesia Budi Karya Sumadi, and Minister of Public Works and Public Housing of the Republic of Indonesia Basoeki Hadi Moeljono. “On behalf of the management of BCA, I would like to express my gratitude to all stakeholders who have contributed in BCA’s success this evening in the Economic Challenges Awards 2017 for the Bank Category,” said Erwan. 

The Economic Challenges Awards 2017 was initiated by MetroTV with the theme “Leading the Change” which aims to give appreciation to the best companies in the country that can lead towards change in the midst of the economies that tend to stagnate. Several assessment criteria are utilized by a panel of juries to determine the winner, including financial performance, corporate governance, innovation, investment, and business transformation. There are ten categories, namely Energy, Pharmacy, Infrastructure, Construction, Consumer & Retail, Property & Real Estate, Bank, Telecommunication, Creative Industry, and CEO of the Year. 

“Thank you to MetroTV and the Jury Panel for the trust given to BCA to accept the Economic Challenges Awards 2017 for the Bank Category. This achievement could only be realized through hard work of the entire family of BCA in innovating banking products and services, and taking advantage of business opportunities,” Erwan concluded.
