Bali, 1 October 2017 – Committed to support National Non-Cash Movement (GNNT) by implementing 100% non-cash transactions at tollgates, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) ensures that Flazz BCA is ready to serve transactions at all tollgates in Bali. Stretching 12.7 km, the Bali Mandara toll road that connects Benoa, Ngurah Rai International Airport and Nusa Dua, is chosen as the venue for the Flazz card inauguration as one of the toll road payment instruments in Bali.
“BCA fully supports the implementation of 100% electronic toll payment system in October 2017. Therefore, BCA is working with all stakeholders, including Bank Indonesia as payment system authority, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (Kemen PUPR) as toll road authority, PT Jasa Marga Bali Tol, and other parties to prepare for the implementation of toll road electronic payment system. We are grateful, starting from today Flazz BCA can be used as one of the payment instruments at all tollgates in Bali,” said Head of BCA Regional Office IV Frengky Chandra Kusuma in the Inauguration of Flazz BCA Usage on All Toll Road in Bali, Sunday (01/10).
BCA’s support is not only realized by participating as a means of payment, but also proactively conducting socialization and education for customers and the Flazz BCA card holders. “We have conducted various educational and socialization activities for customers and the general public of Flazz card holders regarding tollgate payment using Flazz. Socialization and education also include the benefits of using Flazz, how to get them, top ups, and checking balance, as well as the use of Flazz for other daily transactions,” added Frengky.
Currently there are 13.5 million Flazz cards in Indonesia, with the volume of Flazz transactions during 2017 up to August is 80 million transactions, with a nominal value of Rp 520 billion.
In addition to toll road transactions, Flazz BCA can also be used to pay for parking, payment instrument at 80 thousand merchant outlets with Flazz logo, TransJakarta and Jabodetabek Commuter Line payment instrument, and various other industrial sectors.
“With the various transactions that receive payments using Flazz BCA, we are continuously working to encourage and direct the public to use non-cash payment in performing transactions, in line with the GNNT initiated by Bank Indonesia,” Frengky concluded.
