Jakarta, 9 August 2017 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) has once again showed its continued support towards the development of sports in the country. By supporting the BCA Royale Open Tournament 2017, which will be held on the upcoming August 19, BCA not only focuses on promoting the golf sports in Indonesia, but also providing a venue for young executives to donate to Yayasan Rumah Harapan Indonesia in carrying out its mission to provide shelter homes for children from outside towns/cities, who are undergoing medical treatments in select referral hospitals, with age ranges from 0-17 years old.
Attending the BCA Royale Open Tournament 2017 Press Conference was President Director of BCA Jahja Setiaatmadja accompanied by Chief Operating Office of Royale Jakarta Golf Club George Chandra and Founder & CEO of Yayasan Rumah Harapan Indonesia Valencia Mieke at the Function Hall, Jakarta Royale Golf Club, Jakarta, Wednesday (09/08). On the occasion, Jahja expressed his enthusiasm to support the BCA Royale Open Tournament 2017,which he considers a complete annual golf tournament in terms of achievement, field quality, as well as its valued added given to the society.
“Royale Jakarta Golf Club has been the BCA’s strategic partner since it first developed itself as one of the best fields in Asia Pacific. It has been an honour that we can work together in this tournament that is not only served as a competition but also to provide value added to the community through donation,” said Jahja.
The Royale Open Tournament was originally an annual tournament of the Founder Royale Jakarta, that now has been successfully developed into a grand tournament that is also an event combination of achievement, gathering, entertainment, and Lucky Draw prize, as well as Corporatdekle Social Responsibilities (CSR) activities to invite golfers to proactively participate in providing donation to those in need, and also as a form of commitment in promoting the Indonesia’s cultural diversity. BCA Royale Open Tournament 2017also supports the government effort to promote the Indonesian tourism and preserve the local culture, where the Dayak culture, which is widely renowned for its tremendous beauty, is selected to be the theme of the event.
“A great nation does not forget its history and the diversity of the culture that become its identity. Therefore, the BCA Royale Open Tournament 2017 chose the Dayak culture as the theme that will appear on the trophy for the winner,” added Jahja.
In relation to the Charity Program, the donation will be submitted to Rumah Harapan Indonesia (RHI) Foundation. The RHI Foundation focuses on providing shelter homes for children with age of 0-17, who come from underprivileged families and immigrants from outside the city, and are undergoing a medical treatment in select referral hospitals in big cities in Indonesia. Not only does it provide shelter homes that are currently available in Jakarta, Bandung, Makassar, Bali and Semarang, the RHI Foundation also provides other facilities, such as hospital transfer and other daily needs of the patients.
“The number of participants expected to participate in this event is a maximum of 240 participants. We hope that the BCA Royale Open Tournament 2017 can satisfy the golf enthusiasts while also participating in bringing healing to ill Indonesian children who come from the underprivileged families,” Jahja concluded.
