Makassar, 03 October 2018 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) and PT Bank BCA Syariah (BCA Syariah) express its sympathy to those affected by tsunami and earthquake in Palu and Donggala, Central Sulawesi, by providing a relief. This is a reflection of BCA Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Bakti BCA’s Synergy Solution pillar and BCA Syariah Peduli.
The donation composed of staple needs and emergency shelter valued at Rp195 million was handed over by Widy Tarmizi, Head of BCA KCU Makassar to Colonel Imam Purnomo, at Hasanuddin Airport, Makassar, Wednesday (03/10).
“As an inseparable part of the Indonesian people, BCA and BCA Syariah expressed its sympathy offering relief for our brothers and sisters in Donggala dan Palu affected by the unexpected disaster. We understand that they need various daily primary needs, especially those whose home were heavily damaged and occupy refugee camps. Staple needs for kids and adults, such as mineral water, medicines, blankets, tarps and tents that we supply are expected to offer great value to the victims,” said Widy.
Widy further said that we certainly never expect the earthquake to happen, however, in such difficult times, we need to help our brothers and sisters affected by the disaster. “We express our deepest condolence to the people that have been affected. May they find strength and fortitude to bear the loss,” Widy concluded.
