BCA Supports Creation of Innovation and Digital Transformation Value through IKF VII

Jakarta, 27 September 2018 – Understanding the importance of digital transformation today, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) continues to improve quality banking services through technological innovation. BCA implemented its commitment by providing support for the development of digital-based innovation and creativity initiated in the IKF VII under the theme of “Fostering Innovation and Creating Value Through Digital Transformation”.

At the Kafe BCA 9 Forum held at BCA Tower Breakout Area on Wednesday (27/09), Independent Commissioner of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) Cyrillus Harinowo said that technological developments and digital era force the economic sector to adapt, including the banks. Spread over 17 thousand islands, Indonesian people can now access digital economy evenly. Hence, the potential to continue to grow in Indonesia.

Also attending the Kafe BCA 9 Forum as a keynote speaker was Executive Vice President of Learning and Development of BCA Lena Setiawati, Information Technology Expert Onno W. Purbo, and Head of Jakarta Smart City, Jakarta Provincial Government Setiaji.

“Digital transformation that has recently been adopted by large companies, has also become an arms race and competition of ideas, initiatives, innovations, and creativity for the millennials to take advantage of today’s technological development to become an entrepreneur. Departing from such motivation, BCA organizes the IKF VII to stimulate the growth of creativity and innovation through sustainable digital transformation in order to realize Indonesia as a developed country,” added Lena Setiawati.

Cyrillus said that from the banking perspectives, BCA realizes that technology-based innovations can address people’s needs through an easy, fast, and affordable financial service. Furthermore, the internet penetration has now reached 51.8% of the total population.

IKF VII, which was held from 9-10 October 2018 at The Ritz Carlton Pacific Place, Jakarta, will present Budi Karya Sumadi* Minister of Transportation as the keynote speaker. In its two-day event, approximately 17 notable keynote speakers, who are experts in their respected field, will also participate to share knowledge, experience, and inspiration in developing the world of digital-based business, including Setiaji Jakarta Smart City, Handry Satriago GE Indonesia, Noni Purnomo Blue Bird, Eunice Sari UX Indonesia, Bill Zeng CISCO, Husein Samy IBM Indonesia, Agus Nurudin Nielsen.
