Supporting Productive Sector, BCA Disburses Rp10 Billions Micro Credit to Chicken Farmer Partners of PT Widodo Makmur Unggas

Jakarta, 5 June 2018 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) continues to its commitment to support the government’s program in the distribution of micro credit (KUR) in various sectors, one of which is the productive sector. The BCA’s commitment was implemented through the signing of Cooperative Micro Loan Disbursement Program to the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) chicken farmers in partnership with PT Widodo Makmur Unggas, one of the subsidiaries of PT Widodo Makmur Perkasa.

Attending the signing ceremony was Vice President of BCA’s Micro Business Development Ade Bachtiar, Head of Main Branch Office (KCU) of BCA Depok Hendrik Satya Nugraha, Head of Sub-Branch Office (KCP) of BCA Proklamasi Beny Buntaran, Director of PT Widodo Makmur Unggas Ali Mas'adi, Director of PT. Widodo Makmur Perkasa Suyatmi, Director of Finance of PT Widodo Makmur Perkasa Wahyu Andi Susilo, in Jakarta, Tuesday (05/06). Through this partnership, BCA distributed Micro Loan (KUR) with credit limits of Rp10 billions to the MSME chicken farmers who partnered with PT Widodo Makmur Unggas to finance the construction of poultry closed system.

“This loan facility is expected to provide benefits for MSME chicken farmers in the form of easy access to funds for the construction of poultry closed system, which is important for sustainable development to their own businesses,” said Ade.

Director of PT. Widodo Makmur Unggas Ali Mas'adi said, “The partnership is a realization of our mission that serves as a bridge to bring prosperity to the farmers. Therefore, it is an honor fos urs to collaborate and synergize with BCA in providing access to micro loans.”

Ade argued, PT. Widodo Makmur Unggas (WMU), which is a company that focuses on poultry meat business, breeding, poultry feed, Daily Old Chicken (DOC), and poultry derivative products processing as the right solution for MSME chicken farmers in obtaining access to funds for the construction of the poultry closed system. The process of financing to the borrower, continued Ade, is relatively easy. “After the borrower fill out the loan application form required, WMU will will perform credit analysis in order to provide financial feasibility recommendation. BCA will further use the recommendation provided by WMU to determine whether or not the application is approved. Such measure is taken based on prudent banking principles in order to maintain credit quality,” added Ade. 

“We hope that our loan disbursement partnership with WMU can contribute to the expansion of business network for the distribution of BCA’s Micro Loans Program (Kredit Usaha Rakyat – KUR), as well as facilitate financial access for MSMEs related to livestock,” Ade concluded.
