BCA Receives Award at Warta Ekonomi Indonesia Digital Innovation Award 2018

Jakarta, 25 May 2018 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) is committed to bringing sustainable innovations for its banking services and products in order to enhance competitiveness amid the highly competitive banking industry. BCA’s consistency in creating innovations has been appreciated when the bank received the Innovative Company in Digital Transaction and Customer Services award for National Private Bank category at the Warta Ekonomi Indonesia Digital Innovation Award 2018.

Attending to receive the award was Senior Executive Vice President of Strategic Information Technology of BCA Hermawan Thendean submitted by Expert Staff to the Minister of Social, Economic, and Cultural Affairs of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics Lala Kolopaking, Founder of Warta Ekonomi Fadel Muhammad and Editor in Chief of Warta Ekonomi Muhammad Ihsan at Balai Kartini, Friday (25/05).

“In the midst of Indonesia ‘s current economic growth, it is important to utilize digital technology in order to compete and survive the increasingly competitive banking industry. Therefore, BCA is constantly improving its performance and the quality for banking products and services by bringing technological innovations that allow customers to have quick, easy, safe and convenient transactions. This is the key to BCA success in staying on top of the Indonesian banking industry,” said Hermawan.

Warta Ekonomi Indonesia Digital Innovation Award 2018 was organized by Warta Ekonomi through a research and determined based on several assessment criteria. The awards have been delivered through a desk research method, which collects data through the company publications and latest articles containing relevant necessary information. The assessment was also conducted based on other criteria including digital innovations made over the past two years, the advantages of digital innovations, and the benefits of digital innovations for the company and stakeholders

“Innovative digital banking services is one of BCA’s number one strengths that drives customer satisfaction and loyalty. Convenience, ease of use, and security in conducting transactions have resulted in high customer confidence in BCA.  Therefore, BCA continues to proactively create innovative products and services according to the changing needs of the customers and technological developments,” continued Hermawan.  

Consistently delivering digital-based innovations, BCA never stops providing digital-based products and services, including Virtual Assistant Chat Banking BCA (VIRA). VIRA can be used to access information on BCA’s latest promotions, updated and comprehensive foreign exchange rates, nearest ATM locations, and also online credit card and mortgage application. In addition to that, VIRA also helps customers conducting banking transactions, such as checking balance, account mutation for the 3 recent transactions, remaining limit, credit card bill and transactions as well as administration for credit card service registration or removal.

“Every achievement made by BCA is a victory for us all, also a challenge to maintain and improve the quality of our services and banking solutions for our loyal customers and also a motivation for us to maintain a solid business performance growth,” Hermawan concluded.
