BCA Holds Seminar at the Infobank Digital Brand Awards 2018

Jakarta, 25 April 2018 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) continues its commitment to encourage technology users, especially social media users, to exercise discretion on social media and use the technology as an innovation for a positive cause in this era of digitalization. The commitment was shared by President Director of BCA Jahja Setiaatmadja during the National Seminar ‘Digital Branding Challenges and Strategies in the Political Year’ at the Infobank Digital Brand Awards 2018.

Presenting President Director of BCA Jahja Setiaatmadja, the seminar also invited Department Head of Bank Supervision 3 of OJK Anung Herlianto, Chief Executive Officer of Tcash of PT Telekomunikasi Selular Danu Wicaksana, Director of Isentia Luciana Budiman as keynote speakers and Editor in Chief of Infobank Eko B. Supriyanto as moderator.

Today, almost all segments of service sector and industry are not exempt from digital and technological advancement, especially social media and websites that continue to be accessed by the public. According to the research conducted by We Are Social and Hootsuite as of January 2018, out of a population of 265.4 million, there are currently 132.7 million Indonesians who use and access social media. “This suggests that social media has permeated all segments of the Indonesian society as a means of information, aspirations, mass media education as well as a means for promoting government’s policies,” explained Jahja.   

“Digital technology can also address almost all need fulfillments in various sectors, including transportation, culinary, shopping, delivery, to banking transactions.  Therefore, BCA always strives to keep pace with developments in technology that are aligned with the evolving needs of our customers. BCA offers various appropriate solutions through digital applications, Virtual Assistant Chat Banking(VIRA), Application Program Interface (API), e-Branch and many others,” added Jahja.

In addition to the seminar earlier that morning, an award ceremony was held later in the evening for institutions and companies that have successfully managed to improve their brand position in the digital era. This time, BCA received another remarkable achievement recognizing its commitment to develop digital-based banking solution services and digital-based marketing strategies. BCA won eight awards at the 2018 Infobank Digital Brand Awards.

Attending to receive the awards, Senior Vice President of Transaction Banking Business Development of BCA I Ketut Alam Wangsawijaya, Vice President of Individual Business Management of BCA Yudi Darmadhi, Vice President of Funding and Credit Card Products of BCA Ray Indrawan Gani, Director of BCA Finance Lim Handoyo, Director of BCA Syariah Rickyadi Widjaja, at Hotel Shang-ri La, Jakarta, Wednesday (25/04).  

BCA nabbed eight awards at the event, including 1st Rank for the category of Conventional Commercial Bank Vehicle Ownership Loan, 1st Rank for the category of Conventional Commercial Bank Deposits, 1st Rank for the category of Conventional Commercial Bank Credit Cards, 1st Rank for the category of E Money Bank Product for Flazz Brand Product, 2nd Rank for the category of Conventional Commercial Bank Credit Cards for BCA Credit Card, 2nd Rank for the category of Conventional Commercial Bank Wealth Management for BCA Prioritas Brand, 2nd Rank for Conventional Commercial Bank Category, and 3rd Rank for the category of Conventional Commercial Bank Savings for Tahapan BCA Brand.

On the occasion, it was said that digital technology can address almost all need fulfillments in various sectors and therefore encourage BCA to keep pace with developments in technology that are aligned with the evolving needs of its customers.

Meanwhile, the other two awards were given to two BCA subsidiaries, namely BCA Finance for the category of KKB (Vehicle Loan Ownership) and BCA Syariah for the category of Deposits.
