Jakarta, 17 April 2018 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) is committed to realize a sustainable economic growth and support the government efforts to accelerate infrastructure development in Indonesia especially the North Coast Road. BCA realizes its commitment by disbursing syndicated loan in the amount of Rp 2 trillion to PT Jasamarga Semarang Batang (JSB) as the subsidiary of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk to develop the North Coas Toll Road project, namely the Batang-Semarang section.
Attending the signing of the toll road syndicated agreement was Executive Vice President of Corporate Finance of BCA Susiana Santoso, Senior Vice President of Corporate Banking BCA Yuli Melati Suryaningrum, Vice President of Corporate Loan Service II of BCA Cicilia Yunita Sari and President Director of PT Jasamarga Semarang Batang Arie Irianto as well as the management of other participating banks in Jakarta, Tuesday (17/04).
In fulfilling the total financing of the 75 km Batang-Semarang section, BCA together with Bank Mandiri and CIMB Niaga are acting as the Joint Mandated Lead Arranger Bookrunners (JMLAB). BCA disburses a syndicated loan of Rp2 trillion of the total ceiling of Rp7.7 trillion. In this financing, BCA also acts as the Facility Agent.
The 75 km Batang-Semarang section is part of the Trans Java Toll project which is divided into five sections, namely Section 1 Batang-Batang Timur (3.20 Km), Section 2 Batang Timur-Weleri (36.35 Km), Section 3 Weleri-Kendal (11.05 Km), Section 4 Kendal-Kaliwungu (13.50 Km), and Section 5 Kaliwungu-Krapyak (10.10 Km). The construction of the Batang-Semarang section is expected to be completed and commence operation.
BCA contribution in the syndicated loan is a testament to BCA commitment to achieve its vision to become the leading bank of choice, with an essential role in becoming the main pillar of Indonesia’s economy. “Through the participation of BCA, we hope the infrastructure development plan in the country can be realized so that it can contribute to the efforts to increase the national economic growth,” said Yuli.
Previously, BCA has disbursed a syndicated loan to PT Jasamarga Semarang Batang for the Batang-Semarang section project to finance the land acquisition process in support of smooth construction development of the Batang-Semarang section in March 2017. Not only that, in December 2017, BCA also disbursed a syndicated loan to PT Hutama Karya to develop the Trans Sumatera Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar toll road construction project.
“Efforts to accelerate infrastructure development in Indonesia require the support from all parties, including the banks. To date, BCA’s financing to the infrastructure sector has amounted to Rp24.9 trillion, ranging from toll road, electricity, railways, airports, telecommunication infrastructure, as well as drinking water and sanitation. In line with the government efforts to accelerate development in the country, BCA projects that syndicated loan disbursement will increase by 56.2 % in 2018,” Yuli concluded.
