Jakarta, 3 April 2018 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) is commited to promoting the development of creative industry in Indonesia. The commitment is realized by supporting the making of ‘Impian 1000 Pulau’ (which translates to ‘Dreams of 1000 Islands’), announced during the press conference of the movie. The making of this movie is part of the Integrated Creative Economy Development Program initiated by Gerakan 1000.
Also attending the press conference was Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of BCA Rizali Zakaria, Head of Main Branch Office (KCU) of BCA Pluit Neneng H Santoso, BCA Regional X Chief Support Officer Kurniawan, Chairman of Gerakan 1000 Ivonny Zakaria, Chairman of the Economic Development Board of Bank Indonesia (BI) Representative Office for Provincial DKI Jakarta Office Ambawani Restu Widi, Economic Development Analyst of Bank Indonesia Representative Office for Provincial DKI Jakarta Office Tia Fitri Hariyani, and Casts of ‘Impian 1000 Pulau’ in Jakarta, Tueday (03/04).
“The sponsorship given to one of the Indonesian governmental forum or organizations serves as a form of BCA’s commitment to reach and support all elements of society in various fields, including creative industries in the development of Indonesian films. Therefore, BCA is honored to be a partner of Gerakan 1000 in support of the filming of ‘Impian 1000 Pulau’,” explained Rizali.
Gerakan 1000, which was initiated on March 31st, 2016, is a synergy forum for the work programs of theministries/state agencies that concerned with increasing driving forces for economic growth acceleration in Kepulauan Seribu. To present the life and beauty of Kepulauan Seribu, young film makers of Gerakan 1000 produce a movie called ‘Impian 1000 Pulau’, set to be released on Indonesia’s Independence Day, August 2018.
“The creative industries hold great potential for the national economy. As a growing subsector today, the Indonesian cinema needs to be provided with facilities in order to progress and grow. On the other hand, movies can also serve as a mean to introduce tourist destinations in Indonesia. Many destinations visited by tourists, both domestic and foreign, are a result of and influenced by what they see in the movies,” added Rizali.
‘Impian 1000 Pulau’ itself is part of the Integrated Creative Economy Development Program initiated by Gerakan 1000 in order to build the economy and tourism carrying capacity in Kepulauan Seribu. What’s special is, the movie will feature the National Non-Cash Movement (GNNT), a program of Bank Indonesia (BI), in which non-cash transactions are performed using EDC BCA at cafes, stalls, TransJakarta stations and also Laku Pandai activities.
“Through this partnership, we hope it may help Gerakan 1000 in the production of ‘Impian 1000 Pulau’ as well as to increase carrying capacity of the creative industry and economic growth in Kepulau Seribu through film making by Indonesian youth,” Rizali concluded.
