Pekalongan, 27 February 2018 – As an expression of gratitude forits 61st anniversary, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) organizes various social events. Through the Bakti BCA program, BCA organizes a batik painting competition for elementary schoolers and free medical treatments for the members of Kampung Batik Gemah Sumilir Pekalongan.
Also attending the free medical treatment was Head of Branch Business Development of BCA KCU Pekalongan Titin Amelia, Chairman of Dekranasda Pekalongan Regency Munafah Asip Kholbihi, and Chairman of Pekalongan Regional House of Representatives Hindun and Chairman of the Gemah Sumilir Batik Cooperative Amin Maizun.
Titin stated, “BCA wishes to mark its 61st anniversary by sharing its good fortunes with others. By organizing the batik competition and free medical treatment, BCA hopes that it will allow the younger generation to learn more about batik as one of Indonesia’s cultural heritage that needs to be preserved. In addition to that, through the competition, BCA also supports Pekalongan to maintain its existence as the Batik City.”
“The batik competition, followed by 100 students from 32 SD and MI around Gemah Sumilir Batik Village, is expected to increase public awareness of Batik and inspire students, teachers, schools and parents to participate in the development of batik painting technique in Indonesia,” added Titin.
“We also provide free medical treatment followed by 200 people. This is important considering there are many people who cannot access health services. We hope the activity done today will provide a positive impact on publica health so they can recover and return to their activities,” said Titin.
After organizing a series of social activities in Gemah Sumilir Batik Village Pekalongan today, BCA will also conduct a series of activities in Wukirsari Nogosari 2 Wayang Village, Wukirsari Imogiri Bantul Yogyakarta, Goa Pindul Gelaran II, Bejiharjo Karangmojo Gunung Kidul, Pentingsari Tourism Village, Umbulharjo Cangkringan Sleman Yogyakarta and Tamansari Tourism Village on 3-10 March 2018.
The social activities carried out in the said village not only cover free medical treatments, but also followed by various activities to enliven the festivity of BCA’s 61st anniversary. These activities include education for BCA’s foster villages, a competition involving local residents around the village and many other activities.
We also express our gratitdude by conducting other social activities, such as Blood Donor, Cataract Surgeries in various regions in Indonesia, Teacher Seminars for 17 BCA’s Foster Schools, SMEs Seminars, and many others.
