Maintaining Outstanding Performance, BCA Wins Forbes Indonesia’s ‘Best of the Best Awards’ 2019

Jakarta, 30 October 2019 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA)’s longstanding success for 62 years in maintaining a solid performance as a banking institution continues to garner recognition both domestically and internationally. After winning Gold Award at the International Convention on Quality Control Circles (ICQCC) 2019, this time, BCA made another outstanding achievement by winning the Best of The Best 50 High Performing Public Listed Companies in Indonesia organized by Forbes Indonesia, a leading business and financial magazine in the world. 

President Director of BCA Jahja Setiaatmadja accompanied by Director of BCA Subur Tan, Director of BCA Rudy Susanto, Director of BCA Vera Eve Lim, Corporate Secretary of BCA Raymon Yonarto, Executive Vice President CSR of BCA Inge Setiawati, Executive Vice President International Banking of BCA Edmund Tondobala, Executive Vice President of Internal Audit Ayna Dewi Setianingrum, Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications and Secretariat of BCA Hera F. Haryn attended to receive the award, which was handed over directly by the Executive Director and Editor of Forbes Asia Justin Doebele at the Forbes Indonesia's 9^th Best of The Best Awards 2019 in Jakarta, Wednesday (30/10). On the occasion, Jahja stated that the award is a symbol of hard work, dedication and consistency of BCA in providing service excellence to all loyal customers all across the nation.

"We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Forbes Indonesia for awarding us the Best of the Best Awards as a Top 50 Companies that managed to maintain an optimal, solid, and credible performance. We will continue to strive to create banking solutions and ease of banking transactions at BCA, especially in promoting digital services that are easier, safer, and faster. On the other hand, we also understand the importance of the application of prudent banking practices in corporate governance while carefully monitor economic dynamics both locally and globally,” explained Jahja. 

Forbes Indonesia's Best of the Best Awards is an annual award ceremony held by Forbes Indonesia, recognizing the Top 50 Indonesian Companies listed at Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Out of 565 public companies, 50 companies were selected through a rigorous selection process by Forbes Indonesia throughout the year 2019. BCA is ranked 8^th on Forbes Indonesia Top 50 Companies with outstanding performance list.

Companies that made it to the list and won the Forbes Indonesia award are the indicative of success in the business world. The assessment conducted by Forbes Indonesia is based on sales growth, net income, and return on equity. In addition, the company that receive the award proved to its ability to maintain consistent performance growth within the next three to five years. 

As of the third quarter of 2019, BCA recorded an outstanding performance with a 13.0% YoY net profit growth to Rp20.9 trillion, supported by a solid operational performance. In line with BCA’s loan growth, net interest income increased by 12.2% YoY to Rp37.4 trillion.
