Featured in BrandZ Top 100 World Brands, BCA Ranks First for Indonesia’s Most Valuable Brand

Jakarta, 22 August 2019 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) managed to successfully maintain its position as the leading Indonesia’s Most Valuable Brand according to BrandZ. BCA won the title due to its overall brand value’s growth in 2019, where it grew by 4 % from the previous year to $13.050 billion. With the same brand value, BCA also maintains its position in the 99th of the BrandZ Global Top 100.

The award was received by Senior Vice President Corporate Communication BCA Mulyasti Dwi Narini at Hotel Darmawangsa, Jakarta, Thursday (22/08).

Dwi Narini said that BCA is keeping pace with the massive development of digital technology by making a number of digital transformations, which were based on the principles of customer service excellence. The digital innovations and transformations of a number of BCA banking solutions have brought about changes in consumer behavior, shifted from conventional transactions to conducting transactions online. Currently, digital transactions constitute 98 percent of all transactions at BCA, which are available to provide ease and comfort to all customers.

“The award further strengthens BCA to continue making innovations in order to understand customer needs while providing personalised customer experience in terms of ease and comfort of meeting their various transaction needs through digital banking solutions provided by BCA,” said Dwi Narini.

The BrandZ Top 50 Most Valuable Indonesia Brands is an annual event organized by BrandZ, a database brand equity managed by Millward Brown, for 5 consecutive years. Through this program, BrandZ gives an appreciation to the best 50 brands in Indonesia based on the survey that they conducted.

The BrandZ survey result confirms that as a result of Bank BCA’s consistent effort towards understanding its customers’ needs and providing personalised customer experience in terms of digital banking services, BCA has claimed the number one spot. The Bank BCA is priding itself on user-friendly innovations in mobile banking such as cardless cash withdrawals, opening accounts via BCA mobile banking, account switching via QR vcodes and e-wallets. This allows it to meet the expectations of its 25 million customers and earn their trust.

BCA also won the number one spot of the Most Valuable Brand in Indonesia for the fourth year running, in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and maintains its position at 99th in the BrandZ Global Top 100 Most Valuable Brands this year, after claiming the title for the first time in 2018 and became the only Indonesian brand to feature in the Global Top 100 list. 

Dwi Narini added that BCA will not stop assessing community needs. It pursues sophisticated information technology and data accuracy in order to provide a measured, precise and accurate service for the customers. “Not only that, BCA also has a high concern for quality for every product and service it offers. Service quality is one of our priorities in developing services to BCA loyal customers,” added Dwi Narini.
