Tangerang, 20 August 2019 – In commemorating Indonesia’s 74th Independence Day, BCA through its Bakti BCA’s CSR program is collaborating with the Helping Hands Foundation in organizing social activities such as training. Supporting the vision of ‘Quality Human Resources for Prosperous Indonesia’, the CSR Bakti BCA organizes a leadership training for 15 students with disabilities.
Attending as keynote speakers at the program was Executive Vice President Center of Digital of BCA Wani Sabu accompanied by Executive Director of Helping Hands Foundation Wendy Kusumowidagdo at Wisma Asia BCA, Tangerang, Tuesday (20/08).
“As a banking institution that stands by the people, we would like to further contribute in commemorating Indonesia’s 74th Independence Day. One is through Human Resources Empowerment that we continuously perform through sustainable measures, because we believe that quality human resources is a strong foundation to further bring the country forward. It is a pride for us to work with the Helping Hands Foundation in providing a leadership training to students with disabilities,” explained Wani.
Initiated by the Bakti BCA and Helping Hands Foundation, the training is dedicated in bringing together students with blind disabilities with professionals as equal participants in building communication skills, comprehension, empathy and tolerance. It is expected to provide life skills and professionalism training for useful real-life learning and to broaden their career and profession horizons.
Wani added that each of us is a leader – for ourselves, at least, as of now – who bears responsibilities. A leader is a great listener, someone who motivates and inspire others. And being a good leader is a long journey of continuous learning.
“The training is expected to motivate students with disabilities all across Indonesia to continue chasing their dreams. We are grateful for the opportunity that the Helping Hands Foundation gave us to contribute in enhancing the communication and leadership skills of the students with disabilities,” Wani concluded her remarks.
