Jakarta, October 18, 2021 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) today launches the BNP Paribas Sri-Kehati Index Mutual Fund (BNP Paribas Sri-Kehati). This mutual fund, managed by PT BNP Paribas Asset Management (PT BNP Paribas AM), is now available at BCA branches and the BCA WELMA application. This launching is the part of BCA's efforts to facilitate customers who enjoy investing and at the same time participate in the environmental conservation and social empowerment in Indonesia.
Supporting the sustainability of biodiversity is an added value provided by BNP Paribas Sri-Kehati Index Mutual Fund (BNP Paribas Sri-Kehati) which has been established since November 29, 2018. The investment instrument itself consists of 25 company shares that meet the selection criteria set by the KEHATI Foundation.
Data from the Indonesia Central Securities Depository (KSEI) in August 2021 recorded that there are more than 5.4 million Mutual Fund product investors, an increase of 71.57% compared to the end of 2020. The positive response and many encouragements to invest within community nowadays is expected to be a breath of fresh air for economic improvement in Indonesia.
From the observations, BCA scrutinizes that the current COVID-19 pandemic does not dampen investment interest among several investors. This is reflected in the performance of BCA's wealth management until April 2021, that grew positively.
