Jakarta, 27 May 2021 – A number of groups continue to voice the rise of Micro, Small, and Medium Businesses (referred as UMKM) as part of the National Economic Recovery. A number of strategic measures are taken in order to support this program. Looking at this condition, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) as part of the national financial system, presents Bangga Lokal program which facilitates the developing UMKM actors.
In this special occasion, BCA provides education and training through webinar in collaboration with Chatat.id, a platform that supports business to digitally record their finance. This program is attended by SVP of DBT of BCA Dody Santosa Iswan, Director of Chatat.id Petrus Hadi Satria Bapa, and 50 merchants from Bangga Lokal program, including representative from the Assisted Tourism Village from Bakti BCA on Thursday (27/05).
Bangga Lokal program has been present since November 2020. It is aimed to assist UMKM in developing their business. In addition to promotion and marketing, the program also provides education and an opportunity to secure a financing for working capital for UMKM that managed to pass the selection. Currently, the activity performed is education.
“Through Bakti BCA, BCA with its Solusi Bisnis Unggul pillar is continuously committed to develop and campaign the use of local products for the economic recovery in many regions. Our Bangga Lokal program is one of the aforementioned commitments, in which we not only provides room for promotion, but we also educate merchants that joined (the program). This education is meant to encourage the business to be creative and to help them in running their business,” said Dody.
For a business, bookkeeping is an important activity because it helps them to manage their cash flow. This particular activity is often considered difficult for some because it requires special skill. Therefore, BCA collaborates with Chatat.id, a digital platform, to assist the business in their bookkeeping. In this webinar, participants will be given complete information on the benefits from having orderly bookkeeping for business.
Chatat.id offered convenience for business bookkeeping by providing a range of safe, accurate, and beneficial features. This training will help the UMKM to perform their own digital bookkeeping without having to be knowledgeable in finance. This will also allow UMKM not having to hire special finance staff to do their financial bookkeeping.
“BCA fully supports the role of UMKM in their mission to improve the economy of Indonesia. This is in line with our effort to speed up the realization of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It is hoped that this activity will encourage the actors of UMKM to develop a more structured business. If the financial recording has been properly done, the chance to further develop their business would be open. Hopefully this activity can be organized again (in the future) so that more UMKM will be educated with the positive activity such as this,” said Dody.
