Raising MSMEs in Indonesia, BCA Supports Micro Loan Distribution at Kertalangu Denpasar Tourism Village

Bali, 22 August 2020 – Amid the Covid-19 pandemic today, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises MSMEs are bound to face difficult challenges. The government has launched a number of programs for the sustainability of MSMEs in Indonesia. PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) as part of the national financial system is committed to contributing to the sustainability of MSMEs in Indonesia. The commitment was demonstrated through support for the KUR event at Kertalangu Tourism Village, Denpasar.

“Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in supporting national economic growth. This can be seen from the increasing contribution of MSMEs to Indonesia’s GDP. However, it cannot be denied that Covid-19 has disrupted various business sectors, including MSMEs. Therefore, BCA, as a bank that is always by your side, wants to contribute to reviving the economy of MSMEs in Indonesia, including through the distribution of micro loans (KUR) in Kertalangu tourism village, Denpasar,” explained Albertus Gunawan, Head of KCU Kuta.

This support serves as a form of BCA’s contribution to the Ministerial Coordinating Meeting on Economic Affairs, at which the Financing Policy Committee for MSMEs held a series of activities including the distribution of micro loans in Kertalangu tourism village, Denpasar. BCA brought in two micro loan debtors from Denpasar and five micro loan debtors from KCU Kuta and five micro loan debtors from KCU Singaraja, who attended the video conference. In addition, BCA also featured booths for MSMEs mainstay products such as silver handicrafts and Bakti BCA’s tourism villages, namely Pucak Tinggan tourism village at the MSMEs exhibition.

“In this challenging situation, we realize that it is important to help each other and make a real contribution to reviving the national economy. We hope that BCA’s contribution in the event can instill hope especially for MSMEs in Indonesia to resume operation and at the same time build optimism for the revival of Indonesian economy, and subsequently MSMEs all across Indonesia can contribute to drive #IndonesiaMaju,” tutup Albertus.
