Protecting customer data and privacy is BCA's top priority in its banking operations. To maintain information security, the Bank adheres to banking codes of ethics, internal policies, and relevant government regulations.

Information Security Governance

BCA is committed to maintain robust governance over information security and cybersecurity at the highest level of leadership. The Board of Directors plays an active role in overseeing the Company's cybersecurity strategy, supported by a structured accountability framework.

 

BCA has established IT-related shared KPI assigned to all members of the Board of Directors, ensuring that information security remains a strategic priority across the organization. BCA has also appointed a Director of Information Technology, who holds direct responsibility to oversee the overall implementation of IT governance and cybersecurity strategies across the Company. This ensures that cybersecurity risks and initiatives are managed by a director with relevant expertise and experience in the field.

In the executive level, BCA has appointed Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) who is responsible for the information security management system and data protection across BCA's entire operational network, including Branch Offices, Head Office, and Data Centers.

BCA has governance mechanisms to oversee information security activities through the establishment of an Information Technology Steering Committee (ITSC).  

 

The Information Technology Steering Committee is responsible to ensure the implementation of information technology (IT) systems in line with the bank's strategic plan, including data integrity and protection, recommending IT strategic plans, conducting periodic evaluations of IT performance, and aligning IT policies and priorities with BCA's corporate plans.

 

The IT Steering Committee is formed by and reports to the Board of Directors. Strategic Information Technology Director, who has a background in information security, is chairperson of ITSC.
