Responsible AI Program
Access Control & Content Transparency
BCA applies strict access controls to sensitive AI capabilities, including facial recognition and surveillance-related technologies , limiting their use to authorized personnel and approved use cases only. This ensures that powerful AI tools are deployed with appropriate governance and oversight. In addition, AI-generated content and outcomes of AI-driven decisions are distinctly labeled, enabling customers and stakeholders to clearly identify when AI has been involved in producing a result or recommendation — upholding our commitment to transparency and informed decision-making.
Model Integrity & Fairness
To maintain the reliability and fairness of our AI system, BCA has established mechanisms to detect and correct model drift or degradation, ensuring that AI models continue to perform accurately and as intended throughout their operational lifecycle. Complementing this, we conduct regular assessments of deployed AI models for fairness/bias, proactively identifying and addressing any disparities that may affect the equity of outcomes for our customers and stakeholders.
Sustainability & Ecological Responsibility
BCA has taken proactive measures to optimize energy efficiency and lower the ecological footprint of AI data center. One of the initiatives undertaken is the implementation of Cooling Containment Optimization in BCA's data centers. This approach works by isolating and directing cold air flow in a more controlled and efficient manner, ensuring that cooling is precisely targeted toward IT devices and equipment. As a result of this initiative, BCA has achieved energy savings of up to 28%.
BCA remains committed to exploring and adopting further green initiatives across its data center operations, as part of its broader Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework and its responsibility toward a more sustainable future
Appeals & Recourse Mechanism
We believe that customers and affected third parties have the right to question decisions made by or with the assistance of AI. BCA has therefore established a clear appeals process, provided users and affected parties with a structured and accessible channel to contest AI-driven decisions or outcomes. Every appeal is reviewed by qualified human personnel, ensuring that no consequential decision is left solely in the hands of an automated system.
Training on the Ethical Use and Security of Artificial Intelligence
As part of BCA's ongoing commitment to responsible AI adoption, the Bank has actively invested in building employee competency in the ethical use and security of artificial intelligence. Throughout 2025, a total of 2,550 relevant employees have participated in AI-related training programs, delivered through multiple learning channels including e-learning modules, internal classroom sessions, and training organized by external institutions.
