Dear BCA Customers,
In connection with the issuance of Financial Services Authority Regulation No. 24 of 2025 on Account Management at Commercial Banks (“POJK Pengelolaan Rekening pada Bank Umum”), which, among other things, regulates the classification of Current Account (Giro) and Savings Account (Tabungan) statuses as follows:
- Active accounts: accounts with deposit, withdrawal, or balance inquiry activity;
- Inactive accounts: accounts with no deposit, withdrawal, or balance inquiry activity for more than 360 days;
- Dormant accounts: accounts with no deposit, withdrawal, or balance inquiry activity for more than 1,800 days.
As a bank committed to supporting regulatory requirements and providing safe, reliable, and transparent banking services to all customers, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (“BCA”) will implement the classification of Current and Savings Account statuses mentioned above, effective May 7, 2026.
It is important for you to know that this adjustment to the status of Current and Savings Accounts may affect the use of or access to these accounts. Here is a brief explanation:
| Account Status Description | Description |
| Active | The account can be used to perform debit and credit transactions.. |
| Inactive | The account cannot be used to perform debit transactions, but can still receive incoming funds (credits). |
| Dormant | The account cannot be used to perform debit or credit transactions. |
To prevent your account status from changing to inactive or dormant, you can perform debit or credit transactions periodically, as well as check your balance through various BCA channels.
In accordance with the “POJK Pengelolaan Rekening pada Bank Umum”, BCA is required to automatically close Current and Savings Accounts with a zero balance for six (6) consecutive months.
As additional information, you can reactivate inactive and dormant accounts through the nearest BCA branch or via available BCA channels.
