Are you an exporter that engaged in business, processing, and/or management of natural resources? There is a new policy from Bank Indonesia that you should consider!
Bank Indonesia has launched its latest Regulation Number 7 of 2023 about Export Proceeds and Import Payment Foreign Exchange regulates the expansion of fund placement instruments for exporters of natural resources. In addition to time deposit of DHE SDA, exporters can also place funds into Term Deposit of Foreign Exchange from Natural Resources Export Proceeds or known as "TD Valas DHE SDA".
TD Valas DHE SDA is a futures placement instruments in foreign currency of Natural Resources Export Proceeds made by customers at Bank Indonesia (BI) through appointed bank with source of fund BCA Natural Resources Current Account (Rekening Khusus DHE SDA). The tenors will be in 1, 3, and 6 months. The longer tenor and the greater amount of DHE placed, the more competitive interest rate offered.

In addition to competitive interest rate, there is also tax incentive related to TD Valas DHE SDA’s interest. Longer placement tenor will get greater incentive.
