Representing Indonesia, BCA Wins 4 Top Awards in Asia: CEO, CFO, CSR, and Investor Relations

Hong Kong, 4 June 2024 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) achieved recognition at the 14th Asian Excellence Award 2024, organized by Corporate Governance Asia in Hong Kong on Friday (31/05). Representing Indonesia, BCA won awards in four categories: Asia's Best CEO for BCA President Director Jahja Setiaatmadja, Asia's Best CFO for BCA Director Vera Eve Lim, Asia's Best CSR, and Best Investor Relations Company in Indonesia.

Corporate Governance Asia is a magazine published by New Initiative Media Ltd since 2002. Issued quarterly, this magazine actively addresses issues related to the environment, social, corporate governance, investor relations, and sustainability, attracting readers among executives from leading companies in the Asia region.

Under the theme "Sustainable Asia: Ardor for Green Governance," the Asian Excellence Award 2024 was held to appreciate success and excellence in managerial skills, financial performance, corporate social responsibility, environmental standards, and investor relations.

BCA President Director Jahja Setiaatmadja said, “We are grateful to receive awards in various categories at the 14th Asian Excellence Award 2024 from Corporate Governance Asia. We hope this awards motivates us to continually create positive impacts for the community while supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Indonesia.”

BCA’s commitment to delivering sustainable impact for society and the environment is embodied in an inclusive program called “Bakti BCA.” This program aims to create positive impacts at individual, community, and ecosystem levels. Under this spirit, the “Bakti BCA” program encompasses several aspects: health (Bakti Kesehatan), education (Bakti Pendidikan), culture (Bakti Budaya), community empowerment (Desa Bakti BCA), and the environment (Bakti Lingkungan).

On the other hand, information transparency for all customers and investors plays a crucial role in sustainable business. According to the official website of the organizer, the Best Investor Relations Company award was given to the Investor Relations team of companies committed to being open and transparent in disseminating information, both verbally and in periodic reports to investors.

Not only for the corporation, BCA President Director Jahja Setiaatmadja was awarded Asia’s Best CEO for his role in carrying out executive leadership responsibilities that drive the company’s growth in alignment with sustainability principles. Meanwhile, BCA Director Vera Eve Lim received the Asia’s

Best CFO award for her financial management skills and ability to steer the company toward profitability.
