Attended by 900 Sriwijaya University Students, BCA Director Lianawaty Suwono Shares Tips to 'Dance Beautifully' in the Midst of Uncertainty

Palembang, 17 May 2024 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) continues the BCA Berbagi Ilmu series of programs, held in celebration of National Education Day, across various cities. This time, it was the turn of Sriwijaya University students in Palembang to experience a public lecture from BCA Director Lianawaty Suwono. Around 900 Sriwijaya University students participated in the public lecture held at the Auditorium of Sriwijaya University in Indralaya, Palembang, on Friday (17/5).

Carrying the theme “Dancing Beautifully with Uncertainties”, BCA Director Lianawaty Suwono explained, “Since the Covid-19 pandemic, the word ‘uncertainty’ has become increasingly familiar. Uncertainty can be negative, but it can also be rewarding and open up opportunities for us; depending on how we deal with it. For this reason, we need to be observant in spotting opportunities while being skilled and flexible in dealing with challenges in this dynamic era.”

Since the Covid-19 pandemic, the world has been facing uncertainty. The dynamics of economic conditions, geopolitical conflicts, and various social events and natural disasters are the causes. BCA Director Lianawaty Suwono said that students must be able to face these conditions like dancers by prioritizing a calm and confident attitude to unlock pathways to success. She also elaborated the importance of adaptive behavior for students to take advantage of challenges and uncertainties into opportunities, as BCA does.

“At BCA, we believe that adaptation is the key to survival. Since its establishment in 1957, BCA has continued adapting to overcome various challenges and eras. We always prepare risk management to face different possibilities. BCA could not be the company it is today without the ability to adapt to changing times and calmly face various uncertainties,” said Lianawaty Suwono.

The 2024 BCA Berbagi Ilmu program was held at 5 universities, namely BINUS University, Diponegoro University, Bandung Institute of Technology, Sriwijaya University, and Udayana University. BCA Berbagi Ilmu is one of Bakti BCA’s flagship programs in education, to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of Quality Education and prepare a quality and competitive young generation ahead of the peak demographic bonus in 2030.
