Jakarta, 6 March 2024 - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) is supporting Puteri Indonesia 2024 as a company's commitment to enhance inclusivity and optimize the role of women in Indonesia's economic growth. This support is a strategic cooperation between BCA and the Puteri Indonesia Foundation since 2023. As a form of support, 42 finalists of Puteri Indonesia 2024 had the opportunity to visit Menara BCA, Jakarta, to share their experiences and understanding of national economic and banking developments.

Puteri Indonesia’s Visitation to Menara BCA event was attended by BCA President Director Jahja Setiaatmadja, BCA Director Antonius Widodo, BCA EVP Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility Hera F. Haryn, PT Mustika Ratu Tbk President Director Bingar Egidius Situmorang, PT Mustika Ratu Tbk Director Jodi Andrea, PT Mustika Ratu Tbk Head of Promotion Tetty Sri Nurhayati and 42 finalists of Puteri Indonesia 2024.

BCA President Director Jahja Setiaatmadja said, "We are proud to support the Puteri Indonesia Foundation again this year. As part of the national banking sector, we recognize the importance of women’s role in the Indonesian economy. By our shared vision, BCA and Puteri Indonesia are ready to support the equality of Indonesian women to actively contribute in various aspects of life, including advancing culture, education, health, and the economy."

In these activities, 42 finalists came to listen to a sharing session about the development of Indonesia's economy and banking system by BCA President Director Jahja Setiaatmadja. Puteri Indonesia finalists also went on a banking tour to branch offices to see the banking operations at BCA, from transactions to customers servicing.

"Each product provided by BCA has its own specialties that answer the needs of customers. For customers who want short-term achievements, BCA offers savings, deposits, and Welma services. The choice of product is up to our customer. BCA always facilitates our customers with the best services," said Jahja.

BCA also supports an inclusive working environment by providing equal opportunities for each individual to develop and contribute to the company. BCA's commitment to women's empowerment doesn’t stop there. By increasing women's access to finance, BCA continues to promote fairness and equality in society. In addition, BCA collaborated with Perkumpulan Warna Alam Indonesia (Warlami) to again assist 28 women weavers in TTS from the Amanatun Swapraja, Amanuban Swapraja, and Mollo Swapraja tribes. BCA also strengthened the batik making capacity for 15 women batik makers in Kampong Melayu BML Tourism Village, West Kalimantan.

Through BCA Syariah, the company annually holds the WEpreneur program, which supports women MSME players to increase their business capacity. BCA believes that by giving women access to work, it can improve the quality of life of Indonesian women from an economic, social, and cultural perspective.

"In the future, we will continue to expand access to financial services for all levels of society, including women, rural communities, and communities that do not have access to banking services. We also hope that BCA's involvement in Puteri Indonesia this year will inspire the contestants to become a beacon for women in improving financial education and literacy," Jahja concluded.
