UI, ITB, and UNPAR Students Win BCA Case Competition, Emerging as Enthusiastic Marketers!


Jakarta, 26 September 2023 – After undergoing a rigorous competition process, BCA Business Case Competition 2023: Be an Enthusiastic Marketer has finally come to an end. The PAU PETROL group, comprising students from University of Indonesia, Bandung Institute of Technology, and Parahyangan Catholic University, secured the 1st place in the competition. Additionally, the competition acknowledged two students from Udayana University and University of Indonesia as the Most Valuable Participant. These winners received a total prize of Rp50 million, along with internship and career opportunities at BCA.

The competition, held from 21 August to 1 September 2023, drew participation from more than 2,250 students across Indonesia. Among them, 60 students were chosen for the elimination round, and the top 30 participants proceeded to compete in the semifinal round held at BCA Learning Institute in Sentul, Bogor. In this stage, they were required to perform roleplays and presentations in pursuit of the top 3 positions. BCA Head of Region I Fely Hadinata, BCA SVP of Marketing Communication Norisa Saifuddin, and BCA SVP of Cash Management Irwan Prabawa became the judges and assessed the students’ potential.

During the competition, participants received training in marketing and negotiation techniques, both of which are expected to serve as valuable assets as they transition into the professional workforce.

BCA EVP of Human Capital Rudi Lim, expressed, “Given the enthusiastic response from Indonesian students in its inaugural year, we hope that BCA will continue to host BCA Business Case Competition regularly, establishing it as an annual event that students eagerly anticipate. Furthermore, we hope that BCA Business Case Competition can encourage the Indonesian students to further develop their skills and interests in the field of banking.”

“BCA Business Case Competition 2023: Be an Enthusiastic Marketer!” has been running since the registration round in mid-July, followed by online and offline elimination rounds, and the final round throughout August. BCA views this program as a demonstration of BCA's commitment to accelerate the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by facilitating participants in receiving high-quality education. Furthermore, BCA Business Case Competition 2023 represents BCA's commitment to nurturing an excellent young generation interested in exploring and developing themselves in the world of banking.

PAU Petrol, a group comprising students from University of Indonesia, Bandung Institute of Technology, and Parahyangan Catholic University, emerged as the winner of the BCA Case Competition 2023. BCA's objective in organizing this competition is to offer the younger generation an opportunity to acquire the experience and knowledge needed to become proficient marketers.

Providing Real-World Experience to Prepare the Young Generation for Future Careers - As part of the BCA Case Competition 2023, one of the participating teams joined a role-play exercise involving BCA customers. This training, provided by BCA, is designed to help participants gain valuable experience and knowledge that they can apply to their education and future careers.
