Lombok, 22 August 2023 – Enhancing the natural and culinary benefits it possesses, the Hijau Bilebante Tourist Village in Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, remains dedicated to improving its services, which include health massage and spa. PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) is also supporting this initiative by organizing the "Health Massage & Spa Therapist" Train the Trainer program, which took place from August 7-19, 2023. This activity presents a valuable opportunity for 20 selected participants to elevate their competencies, with the aim of driving village tourism growth and creating new job opportunities for the village community.
This training is a direct response to the enthusiastic demand from tourists for health massage and spa tour packages, which are still limited in the Hijau Bilebante Tourist Village. Additionally, there is a notable interest among men within the village to pursue careers as therapists. Given that the current therapists are all women, this initiative is expected to address the demand from male tourists, ultimately increasing the community's income and creating new job opportunities for the village community, especially for men in Bilebante Village.
"In addition to its natural beauty and SME center, Bilebante Village still holds significant growth potential. I have also observed that the village's younger generation are very enthusiastic about innovation. Therefore, BCA is committed to continuously fostering and developing the community's capacity in Bilebante Village, including initiatives like the 'Health Massage & Spa Therapist' Train the Trainer program. We hope this program can optimize the tourism potential of Bilebante Village and become one of the driving forces behind the village's economy," expressed the Branch Head of BCA Cakranegara, Indrawanto Sahama.
The training will be followed by a mentoring trial on August 19, 2023. During this trial, participants will showcase the skills they've acquired to a diverse group of visitors. These visitors encompass both local and international tourists, as well as travel agents keen to partake in the health massage and spa experiences offered by the community of Hijau Bilebante Tourist Village.
Head of Bilebante Village, Rakyatulliwauddin, expresses his gratitude for BCA's continuous support in advancing Hijau Bilebante Tourist Village. "From the beginning, BCA has provided various trainings that are highly relevant to the needs of the local community in managing the tourist village. We hope that the health massage and spa tour packages can be executed with even greater excellence and professionalism, thereby attracting the interest of more tourists to this beloved village."
Hijau Bilebante Tourist Village previously introduced several captivating tour packages, encompassing cycling and ATV rides through the rice fields, comfortable homestay accommodations, and cooking classes set in the refreshing plantation ambiance of Pancingan Traditional Market. Not only that, from the local SME perspective, the Hijau Bilebante Tourist Village has also showcased more than 17 culinary products from local SMEs, ranging from "ayam merangkat" (chicken dish) and seaweed meatballs to various types of chips and "plecing" dishes. Moreover, the village has recently launched outbound activities that highlight the unique arts and culture of Bilebante Village.
In a separate occasion, EVP Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility of BCA, Hera F. Haryn, conveyed that the "Health Massage & Spa Therapist" Train the Trainer program aims to enhance the community's capacity in the Hijau Bilebante Tourist Village. BCA's mentoring efforts across all its fostered villages are expected to contribute sustainably by providing economic value to the community and the local area. "We have directly witnessed the impact of the support provided by the company to the tourist villages in Bilebante. Similar to other villages under Bakti BCA, the direct impact of the guidance we offer is to ensure the competitiveness and sustainability of the tourist village management. Through this program, BCA also supports the government's Bangga Berwisata #DiIndonesiaAja campaign," Hera stated.
