Jakarta, 11 August 2023 - Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have consistently been an important element of Indonesia's economy. This contribution continues to persist, as the MSME sector contributes 61% to Indonesia's GDP and employs up to 97% of the nation's workforce. Recognizing the profound significance of this, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) has once again orchestrated the BCA UMKM Fest, held at Gandaria City from August 9 to 13, and running online at umkmfest.bca.co.id from August 12 to September 12. The event was attended by 50 MSMEs on-site and more than 1,000 MSMEs online.
Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Teten Masduki visited the BCA UMKM Fest 2023 and expressed his appreciation for BCA's continued support in promoting the ongoing growth and broader recognition of MSMEs in the domestic market. Minister Teten said that the BCA UMKM Fest has evolved into a suitable ecosystem for MSMEs to develop their businesses.
