Jakarta, 9 August 2023 – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) once again conducts the BCA UMKM Fest 2023 as a commitment to boost the economic potential of the MSME sector. This year marks the event's third edition with the theme "Jadi #ANDALANLOKAL." The BCA UMKM Fest 2023 will be held in a hybrid format. Offline activities will take place at Gandaria City Mall, Jakarta, from August 9 to 13, 2023. On the other hand, the online event will be open to the public from August 12 to September 12, 2023, accessible through umkmfest.bca.co.id in collaboration with Blibli and Grab.
The opening ceremony were attended by Advisor to the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs Fiki Satari, President Director of BCA Jahja Setiaatmadja, Vice President Director of BCA Armand Hartono, Vice President Director of BCA Hendra Lembong, Director of BCA Santoso, Director of BCA John Kosasih, and Director of BCA Antonius Widodo Mulyono, along with the entire BCA management on Wednesday (09/08), at the Main Atrium, Gandaria City Mall, Jakarta.
Jahja Setiaatmadja, President Director of BCA, stated, "As a banking institution that is consistently by the side of our customers, BCA is committed to supporting the growth and development of Indonesian SMEs. Through BCA UMKM Fest 2023, we provide a creative platform for SME enthusiasts. BCA's support for SMEs is a manifestation of our commitment to implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by assisting all the needs of SME players, including aspects of sales transactions, company operations, and SME financing through the UMKM Fest edition of Multipurpose Business Loan with effective interest rates starting from 3.12% p.a. valid until October 1, 2023."
In addition to providing a platform to showcase flagship products, BCA brings together over 50 merchants in the offline event, along with approximately 1,400 SMEs and creative industry participants from various sectors, including food and beverages, arts and crafts, fashion, health and beauty, and even travel.
BCA also presents BCA's Fostered Villages, including Gemah Sumilir Village showcasing their flagship batik fabrics, Wukirsari Village with its leather puppet crafts, and even exploring the digital forest in Peramun Village through Virtual Reality (VR). Not to be missed, BCA Travel Service is also available as a form of BCA's support for the proud #Di-Indonesia-Aja travel movement.

The figure of 65.4 million SMEs in Indonesia is by no means a small number. Contributing around 61% to the GDP, SMEs successfully employ 97% of the workforce in Indonesia. These facts position SMEs at a critically important level within the country's economy. This aligns with BCA's commitment to continuously support SME growth.
All forms of support can be observed through various aspects, namely the distribution of BCA's KUR (People's Business Credit) and the SME development program titled #BanggaLokal. This program not only aids SMEs in terms of promotion and marketing but also provides education and working capital access to enhance the quality of their products. As of June 2023, BCA has disbursed commercial and SME loans amounting to IDR 219.2 trillion, a growth of 10.9% YoY.
Through the BCA UMKM Fest 2023, BCA aims to invite consumers to celebrate the growth of SMEs in Indonesia by supporting and strengthening the local economy through SME empowerment. This event is expected to provide an opportunity for SME players to expand their business networks, promote their products and services, and enhance brand exposure to a wider public audience.
For those attending the UMKM Fest 2023 event, a range of promotions awaits. These encompass a Rp100,000 voucher for transactions of at least Rp350,000 in all sectors (excluding travel), with a daily limit of 400 transactions. These promotions are valid for QRIS transactions conducted through myBCA/BCA mobile/Sakuku, BCA Credit Cards, and BCA Debit Cards. Additionally, visitors can enrich their experience by taking part in diverse workshops available at BCA UMKM Fest 2023.
