Jakarta, 24 May 2023 - Embodies PT Bank Central Asia Tbk. (BCA) commitment to enhance inclusivity and optimize the role of women in Indonesia's economic growth, BCA supports Puteri Indonesia 2023 pageant event.
Puteri Indonesia 2023 final event was attended by Putri Kuswisnu Wardani, the President Commissioner of PT Mustika Ratu Tbk., Wardiman Djojonegoro, the Chairman of the Indonesian Princess Foundation, Hendra Lembong, the Vice President Director of BCA, Antonius Widodo Mulyono, the Director of BCA, Hera F. Haryn, the EVP of Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility of BCA, and other guests on Friday evening (19/5).
The 26th Puteri Indonesia pageant in 2023, a prestigious annual event, carries the theme of cultural richness and natural beauty from the Lampung province. BCA's involvement in the Puteri Indonesia 2023 pageant is a tangible manifestation of the company's commitment to enhance inclusivity and optimize the role of women in Indonesia's economic growth.
"We hope this event can enhance the capacity and empowerment of women, promote literacy and inclusivity, and strengthen women's role as determinants of Indonesia's civilization and progress in the future. We believe that one of the empowering characteristics of women is their ability to manage finances well and contribute to Indonesia's economic growth," said Hendra Lembong.
As part of the banking industry, BCA is highly aware of the importance of enhancing inclusivity and strengthening the role of women in the economy. BCA is committed to establishing an inclusive work environment during its operations, ensuring that every individual has equal opportunities to grow and contribute.
Previously, as part of the Puteri Indonesia pageant final series, 45 finalists visited the BCA Tower to listen a presentation on the development of Indonesia's economy and banking system by BCA's President Director, Jahja Setiaatmadja, also they went on a banking tour to branch offices to see how BCA employees wholeheartedly serve customers on Thursday (11/5).
This is in line with BCA's commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through continuous and sustainable actions.
As a form of company support for this event, BCA provides a special opportunity for one of the Top 3 finalists of Puteri Indonesia 2023 to become BCA Brand Ambassador. The winner will have the opportunity to support BCA's CSR activities under the Bakti BCA program, which focuses on education, health, the environment, culture, as well as BCA's fostered tourist villages.
