Want to Apply Digital Marketing in Business? Check out the “Up to Date” Business Acceleration Tips

Jakarta, 15 June 2021 – The current limited space for movement due to the ongoing pandemic has forced some people to adopt new ways of surviving. This also certainly applies to MSME business players, where they are among the majority of people affected by the pandemic. Adaptation is one way that can be done to survive the pandemic.

For MSME business players, the use of digital marketing methods now is one thing that can be done to be able to accelerate business more broadly. The promotion method using social media is also a trick that can be applied to attract many buyers, not only that, it can also increase brand awareness.

Now, to accelerate business in the current digital market, BCA held a webinar that succeeded in gathering interesting tips to increase direct sales from two speakers who work on two leading social media platforms, namely Demas Ryan as SMB Account Manager of TikTok Indonesia and Aldo Rambie as Head of Industry for Facebook Indonesia. This education webinar is also a step from BCA to support MSMEs going digital.

The various inspirational tips that are shared for MSME actors include:

  • Collaboration with the community on social media. Gen Z expects collaboration between business players and the community. This collaboration can also be adjusted to the business segment. The forms are also varied, such as posts and tags on social media to increase engagement.
  • The production of inspiring, informative and fun content. These tips are the choice for business players who want to target young people. Based on research conducted, 57% of Generation Z likes creative content.
  • Advertised content. Apart from social media (organic), marketing can also be done through advertising. These ads will help the products we promote enter the main page of the appropriate user timeline.
  • Pay attention to the customer journey. In order to increase sales through social media platforms, we can also determine the cycle. This consists of awareness, consideration, transaction and retention & advocacy.

“We understand that in the midst of the current situation, MSMEs actors need space to promote their products and improve their skills to meet market needs. On this basis, BCA does not stop providing maximum assistance. This time, it is conducted through a webinar that provides education on the use of social media as a marketing tool for MSMEs," said Freddy Iman as EVP Commercial & SME of BCA.

“Video sharing is a platform that helps MSMEs to grow, this can be realised through organic and advertising. As you know, TikTok is a digital video sharing platform. Short videos are the answer to increase trust and influence buyer behaviour," said Demas Ryan some time ago in the webinar 'Creating Creative Content with TikTok Indonesia'.

“For MSMEs, there are four pillars that can support business planning, including curation, community, conversation and commerce. Facebook Indonesia uses these pillars to help develop businesses owned by MSMEs," said Aldo Rambie some time ago in the 'Business Upgrading through Instagram, Facebook & Whatsapp' webinar.

BCA's support for the progress of the MSME business is not only through the BCA UMKM Fest. BCA has launched the #BanggaLokal campaign before, a program aimed at helping MSMEs to develop their businesses. Not only promotion and marketing, educational activities are also carried out, together with the opportunity to obtain capital financing for MSMEs that pass the selection through #BanggaLokal.
