Jakarta, 09 June 2021 – The Covid-19 pandemic has hit the world for almost 1.5 years and various efforts are still being made to reduce the negative impacts that occur. The vaccination program that is currently being carried out in various countries is also a hope for many people to be able to return to normal life. To reduce some of the burden felt by the community in their struggle against the pandemic, employees of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) organized social actions in the work environment.

BCA’s SVP of Human Capital Management Indra Widjaja expressed his pride to all BCA personnel who have a high sense of solidarity. All BCA personnel are committed to support various actions to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. Donations in the form of 366 boxes of N95 type medical masks were distributed through the Buddhist Tzu Chi Indonesia Foundation to be further distributed to various hospitals that treat COVID-19 patients.

The donation was attended by a representative of BCA Indra Widjaja, and received by a representative of Tzu Chi, General Secretary of the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation Hong Tjin on Wednesday (09/06) in the Exhibition room, Tzu Chi Center, Pantai Indah Kapuk .

Indra Widjaja emphasized that such action is a form of awareness from all BCA personnel on the basis of solidarity. "Positive activities like this need our full support, we believe that something done for a noble cause will also have a positive impact. The hope is that through this social action, it can help ease the burden on people who have been affected by the pandemic. Hopefully in the future this kind of action can be carried out again with a wider target," concluded Indra.
